This looks really good.

Assuming you are referring to device pointed out by STIG, then it will work with an IPAD. See

http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/1254...iversal-remote

I had a remote system which used RF waves via a clever little transmitter fitted in with a special battery to send signals to a IR base station. It meant you could be in any room and change channel on (say) a satellite box in a remote room.

Only problem is that the rechargeable special batteries did not last long, and you were limited to only one remote controlling one box.

This system is clearly much more advanced, using wifi to transmit to the base station. I assume almost any suitable tablet (android/ipad anyway) will connect. I also assume if you place the ir in a suitable place, you may be be able to control more than one box (system has a ir on base station, and one on an extension).

A touch expensive, but looks really flexible.
