EE stop offering T-mo / Orange plans online

EE no longer offer T-Mobile or Orange pay monthly plans online. They can still be bought in EE stores, however.

Additionally, the T-Mobile website appears to have been closed and now directs to EE.

Allegedly PAYG sims on Orange/T-Mobile are still available, but I get "Generic Error" when clicking on their tabs.

Looks like the beginning of the end for the 3G only contracts, and the confusing branding that came with them.

Doubt it will be the end of 3G only but expect it could be the end of the brands.

The EE website has been down most of the afternoon

You don't think the removal of the 3G only contracts and their prices from the website means the end of them in the long term? Why?

They have routing issues it seems - some computers here can connect to the site and others not.... weird...

Great way to push more people onto 4G... by not offering non-4G plans online.

All part of the plan to get to 6 million.

Definitely. And it also makes things considerably simpler for their sales staff and systems, saving money.

To be honest, the Orange contracts were not that competitive anyway.

Ah didn't see they had completely removed the plans from the site my bad. I agree never understood why people would go with Orange over T-Mobile after the network was combined the later was always the better value.

Cause T-Mobile still had "Unlimited" and Orange still had Orange Wednesdays.

We were talking about the fact that T-mobile's contracts were more attractive than Orange's post-merger.

Orange Wednesdays are available from EE too - so if that was the reason for picking Orange over T-mo, there was still a better value EE tariff available.

EE has one of the worst websites I have ever (tried) to use.

Appalling layout, design and function!!

They've upgraded it today, but lots of parts seem to be broken. T-Mobile users can't currently login to their account (as the script on the EE page calls t-mobile.co.uk, which is not there any more).

They EE website is awful. It takes ages to find what you are looking for.As for branding. It would be better to just brand EE3g & EE4g?.

It seems the T-Mobile website is back (as in its not timing out).
It redirects you to EE.co.uk with the message " Welcome, were you looking for T-Mobile, don't worry, you're in the right place"

it seems the T-Mobile site is gone, guess T-mobile is on its way out, followed by orange

Some old pages are still there, but horribly broken (see above).

I dunno about the Orange page. They might keep it as It's got that whole AOL-esque entertainment/news crap on it, I'm sure 5 people in the UK still have it as their home page.

Orange are absolutely awful, I hate them and will never go with them directly. When I got my first contract at about the age of 17, it was when networks used to charge you per MB of data.

I think it was £3 per MB and I had the Nokia N80 phone, needless to say I got a £600 phone bill mostly for data usage. I was pissed and I've never been back since.

sure it was maybe my fault but they didn't inform me of my high usage, and said it wasn't possible to cap a persons bill, ( they just didn't want to inform me )

at that point I only earned about £400 a month as I was at college too, I worked for nearly 2 months to pay them off and I've never been back since and never will.

Now a few years later they CAN cap your bill and offer unlimited data, strange eh

No to both.

Orange can neither cap accounts, nor do they offer unlimited data.

The new EE website is nothing short of amazingly bad.

For example:

iPad Air 32GB Space Grey.

Upfront Cost: £169.99 on Plans for £36 per month (1 month.)

Erm; no EE, it's actually £579!

Does the fact T-Mobile has disappeared and not Orange, suggest that something may be about to happen (i.e. Orange buying out Deutsche Telekom's share in EE?) or am I reading into this too much?

The shop part of the orange website has gone, just but the front news pages which I assume are still bringing in ad revenue.

The t-mobile website didn't have any news pages.
