I would love for the Doctor, in the future, to go back in time, to the late 1910s, maybe the early 20s, and meet the legendary silent movie star Charlie Chaplin. I've wanted the Doctor to do that for a while now, but with Matt Smith gone from the show, I'm not sure if Capaldi's Doctor would be as good at such a story.
Apparently, the First Doctor met Charlie briefly during the Daleks Masterplan in late 1965, but the episode in question, sadly, doesn't exist anymore, as it was 'lost' in the early 70s. Who do you think would make a good Charlie Chaplin? I think Daniel Radcliffe, possibly, but who do you think? |

I would say Mr Bean or JR Ewing would be the absolute best.

Eddie Izzard did a brilliant job in 'The Cats Meow' about 15 years ago. Might be a little old now

That chap from Family of Blood.
edit: Harry Lloyd (Actually sounds more like he'd play that other famous silent movie star Harold Lloyd!) |

Not Charlie Chaplin himself because he [possibly] couldn't win a Charlie Chaplin lookalike competition.

Didn't Robert Downey, Jr. play him well in a movie? I think that I remember that.

The first Doctor did actually meet Charlie Chaplin in the Daleks' Master Plan, as I recall

Richard Herring tried to reclaim that moustache for comedy. And he has Who pedigree.
Him. (Aside: probably not him) |
