I already have a 2012 version of the Nexus 7 but seen Aldi are selling a tablet at a good price.

Was thinking it would be good for dad to get so he could learn to look online more and use apps like the weather and Argos.
Hes now in his early 80s and only keeps 97%/98% fine.
Do you think this would a good buy for him.

The only thing putting me off recommending the Aldi tablet is the screen resolution is pretty poor, even for a 7" device. For not much more you can pick up a Asus Memo Pad HD 7 which I suspect is going to be better in pretty much every way.

Just buy it and try it out.If your Dad is happy, job done ,if not Aldi have a 60 day returns policy as below

(B) Returns with manufacturer's warranty
Within 60 days
If your Specialbuy is faulty and you purchased it less than 60 days ago, as a first step call the manufacturer's helpline and an experienced operator will take you through your options.

However if you simply change your mind, you still have time to return the item and receive a full refund or exchange, as long as you return it within the 60 day period, with your receipt and its original packaging.

Not surprising, after all the hype in the lead up to today's availability.
