Has murdered someone stole their money or life savings faked his death and after all these years feels guilty over what he's done in the past to his ma and gives her the money and we finally see a new nick, well for a little bit anyway lol

My guess is that Nick is going down a born again route and he's asked for forgiveness and confessed his sins and technically in Christianity murderer or no murderer all you have to do is ask for forgiveness and you're good to go. I think he's getting a new identity and is going to start his life over, but is going to try and pay his mum back for all he's done to her over the past years, but having said that I am thinking wishfully.

I remember DTC saying something along the lines of "sometimes its alright to have total villain like Nick Cotton" so if we're to listen to that then he hasn't changed his spots.

I love that me and some others on here are just assuming he's alive, because of a couple of pictures. The real twist would be if Dot finally gets the coffin open and he's actually just dead. That'd be a real twist in my eyes. But I hope not...

How could that be possible because the last episode ended with Charlie saying they cannot find what is in the coffin, so it's obviously not Nick.

That makes no sense and is not what he said. He said he couldn't risk anyone looking inside the coffin.

It's the same thing. If there is risk involved in anyone looking inside the coffin then it's obviously not Nick's body in there.

It could work with the "he's actually dead" twist, though. Perhaps Charlie Jr. is really just incredibly caring, and doesn't want his Nan to see Nick looking really messed up after an OD.

I hope not. I was gutted when they said they were killing of Nick.

DTC seems to know what he's doing - so I was surprised with Nick's killing off, off-screen deaths are horrific (and lazy, in my opinion). So I'm hoping DTC has a cracking twist in the works...

Sorry I misread what you said. I thought you meant nobody can find what's in the coffin in the literal sense.

And also its easy to say Nick's body is obviously not in there when we know that that's the case.

The only real surprise would be to find out that Nick is not involved in this cruel scam.
It must be something to do with life insurance but how would a junkie pay for the premiums?

Whatever it is I'm wondering when we are likely to get a bit more of this.
I hate it when they leave too big a gap between re-visiting storylines.

He could have been hoping that the shock and stress of the situation would kill Dot. She definitely has life insurance.
