Anyone know if the Pork shanks in cider apple sauce in Aldi are frozen or chilled?

They are frozen when they have them.

You should cook them first, they're much nicer.

If they're anything like their Pork Shanks in Peppercorn Sauce (ours were chilled not frozen) then they're well worth the money.

I have yet to find any in store. I assume they are always sold out when I visit.

I've not seen the pork shanks but if they are anything like the lamb shanks they should be good. I've always shied away from the frozen lamb shanks because I usually buy from our butcher and cook them from scratch but I've just had a long stay in hospital and OH has been fending for himself and although I'm now home I've very limited mobiliity etc. so he's cooking for me as well until I get stronger. Anyway, he tried them and thought they were good so that was one of the first meals he gave me and I have to admit I was surprised how good they are for the money. They are very tasty, lots of melt in the mouth meat and nice gravy. Good value imo.
