Iceland selling McCoys/Hula Hoops/Wotsits frozen potato food

I was in the other day and saw them I bought a bag of the Cheese & Onion McCoys potato ridges as I adore the regular crisp variety.

Anyone tried any of these and if so are they good? I was tempted by the Wotsits ones.

I haven't tried them but there was a thread on them here at the tail end of last year.

The Wotsit ones aren't very nice either. The McCoys ones are okay.

I've heard the Wotsits one are disgusting. I've had the plain hula hoops, they were okish.

I was in Iceland last night [ the first time in over 2 years]
I saw the big bag of Wotsits in the freezer - which was a surprise to see
and the other items hula hoops etc
Must tell my sister as she loves the standard bags of Wotsits

I had a bag of the McCoys and liked them, went nicely with my bacon and eggs. I gave the wotsits to my daughter and she said they were 'ok'.

the wotsits are disgusting they are soooo cheesy, sickly cheesy, didn't taste like the crisps.

The Mccoys and Hula Hoops are so nice.

What exactly are they? is it like chips with added flavourings or shaped like the crisps?

Wotsits aren't even potato.

No-one seems to sell salted McCoys by themselves only in packs with the tainted ones.
Weatherspoons used to sell them but appear to have stopped now.

The McCoys ones are the nicest. Hula Hoops are okay but I wouldn't buy them again.

The Wotsits inspired ones are the only ones that are not official. They are Iceland branded and are actually called Wot'sthis? I think most people just glancing at them will think they are Wotsits.

Some photos and review here: http://grocerygems.blogspot.co.uk/20...to-ridges.html

As mentioned above Wotsits are horrible, Original Hula Hoops are OK but wouldn't buy them again.

They're really vile! But they don't taste like the real crisps because, unlike the Hula Hoops and McCoys, they are just a cheap copy. Look closely at the label it says "Wot'sthis" not Wotsits.

They are like oven chips, so crispy on the outside with a softer middle bit. The Hula Hoops are quite thin though so if they're overcooked they do become very hard and crispy!
