Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival

Not normally a big fan of Wetherspoons but i do love their real ale festivals where they showcase 50 different international ales over the two weeks. One started today. Here is the menu along with the tasting notes. They do 1/3 pint tasters too.

The 5 different ales i tried yesterday were all amazing, especially the No.24 Norweigen Nogne brown ale and the No.45 HILDEGARD’S SOLANGE which really did have the aroma of peach and fresh cut grass.

Yeah love the real ale festival. Last time it was on we went to a pub before and 3 pints were just over £12, in Wethers 3 lots of 1/3 pint trios were £6.75!

yeah, for some reason those 1/3 pint trios seems like you are drinking more too. I guess i tend to savour the beer a bit more. Didn't manage to get down wetherspoons over the weekend, so hope i haven't missed out too many ales. I will be back tomorrow for my lunchtime drinks. I want to see how many of the 50 i can sample.
