Anyone remember this Aussie 70's classic? They used to show repeats on ITV in the mid eighties, me and my brother were big fans

They had some great characters like nosy Ada, Dennis the prankster, Georgie Saint, no-nonsense Sister Scott and the nasty Dr Snape

Anyone else remember this soap fondly?

Oh yes, and 'Sons and Daughters'!!! One of my earliest soap memories comes from that show - a character deliberately burning her hand on the iron to stop somebody else doing something she didn't want them to - ?something to do with a baby.

Dr Chris Piper was my crush and I would wish that I looked like Nurse Jo Jo Adams

I loved 'The Young Doctors', too. It was so cheaply made, but had a real charm. I loved Ada, Sister Scott and Dr Snape! The groovy disco theme tune was great, too! There were two DVDs of episodes released in Australia, which are often available on Ebay. They include classic episodes such as Sister Scott falling down the lift shaft, Tania and Dr Tony Garcia's wedding and the final episode.

Loved Dr Tony. I was so envious of Nurse Tanya for marrying him

This captures my feelings about the show too. The sets looked very cheap and the technical standard crude, but there was some good acting and the show had some great characters.

People like Sister Scott, Tania Livingston, Helen Gordon, Liz Kennedy, Dr John Forrest were entertaining / believable characters. Most of the male cast were clearly chosen for their looks and by golly there were some devastatingly handsome faces to look at in that regard. Eric Oldfield, Tony Alvarez, Peter Bensley and Bartholomew John all posed for nude centrefolds in Australian magazine Cleo in the 1970s. Those pics are all on the web.
