Bruce has suggested Boris Johnson.
In order to get him off the streets of London, I would be happy to have the FF button on constant alert.

It would be Graham and Tess for me.

I can only tolerate Claudia in very small doses, so a whole series would be a turn off for me, I'm afraid.

I can't see Graham Norton being offered something else by the BBC. He's got the presenting job at Eurovision and British Academy Awards, his Friday night show and his Saturday show on radio 2. Realistically, the latter two wouldn't give him any time for Strictly. My choice would be Brian Conley who's brother is already working on the show. He's a great song and dance man, a good comic, and the right age to present alongside Tess. My second choice would be Bradley Walsh !

John Barrowman...a great all round entertainer he can do it all and he looks gorgeous..

Vernon Kaye?

Agreed.

Claudia is the antithesis of elegance. All the that trotting around and looking like a ghoul crossed with a hunchback.

I agree with SeasideLady that Brian Conley would be ideal and Bradley Walsh a good second choice. But please not John Barrowman or Vernon Kaye.

A huge vote from me for Graham Norton, I hadn't heard he was in the running and he'd be perfect for it! Flamboyant and charismatic, effortless style and simply a natural at presenting. In my opinion of course.

Anyone but Anton du Beke please. I find him horrendously irritating, smarmy and totally unfunny. yuk

Love your candidates. Exciting speculating and as long as it isn't Anton I can't wait to find out.

I was going to say Brian Conley.

I think Graham Norton would be awful.

I also think having Bruce back for special occasions is shocking, as it would totally undermine the new guy. Surely no decent entertainer would accept on that basis.

Neither Vernon Kaye or Anton - really don't think I could watch if they were hosts.

It seems rather sexist to put a man in the prime position when Tess can do that job - she just needs someone to bounce off

I'd like to see Tess promoted to lead presenter and although I think Claudia is fab, I think Ian Waite would do a brilliant job as deputy.

I agree with the suggestions for Brian Conley and Bradley Walsh but also think Rob Bryden would be good. They're all experienced and could hold the show together well and can ad lib when needed. Anton du Beke would be dreadful.

Move Len to co presenter and have Karen hardy as another judge

I think Rob Bryden would be quite good. John Barrowman is more showbizzy however.

I reckon Michael Ball could be a contender.

I think the Beeb created a problem with not succession planning and putting Bruce's replacement-in-waiting on on the nights he was away. Surely Tess not making it out front, after covering for Bruce, and Claudia not getting the back gig, if they both want the jobs, will see cries of sexism. Especially as one will now probably lose their job.

A new male host would mean Claudia goes from the results show. Unless she wants to go, she could cause a fuss.

Not saying they're the best person for the job but I think this is going to cause the beeb issues. The media will jump on it if it happens

He also sounds like he has a cold when talks.

I really hope it's Claudia and Tess. Let's have two women fronting a big show for once!

Bruce was bad enough, but seriously, Tony Beak?! The thought of him prancing around in front of camera filled with an even greater sense of his own importance fills me with horror.

Graham Norton would be my top pick.
