Google brings many delights.

And the international superstar that is Les Dennis.”

Ah, damn. You edited it .

Fair enough. That is quite a lot actually . You've made your case, Mr Joe Zel.

I'd forgot about Stephen Graham - top actor in Boardwalk Empire.

Certainly I think Steph Davis needs to develop her non-Scouse accenst if she wants any real success outside Hollyoaks though. Agreed?
Not that I have a problem with her accent or anything, but a lot of these casting directors/producers can be snobby about certain accents.

Lol, last time I'm arguing with you about Liverpudlian actors . I feel out of my depth!

Well if she goes to the US I very much doubt they'll be casting for a scouse role anyway so she'd have to use different accents regardless. And if they ever did they'd probably do as bad a job as the "Mancunian" in Frasier.

Tbh, that came from google. I'd heard of Rex Harrison but didn't know he was from Liverpool because he spoke with an RP accent in most films.

But, the place the Beatles were born is great in my book.

Even in the UK, she might need to use more traditional English accents to win certain roles. Although Stephen Graham got by fine with his Scouse accent on some notable BBC dramas, so I guess it's possible for Davis to win over producers with her acting.

I see .

I honestly didn't know there were that many good Liverpudlian actors out there .

Also, did you know Stephen Graham starred in Coronation Street?!
He played some character named Lee Sankey in 1999.
Who'd thought that?! Or did everyone already know that?

Nope, didn't know that.

I knew him from This is England and that Gangs film.

You should check him out in Boardwalk Empire. He plays Al Capone . He plays the role so well. Apparently Martin Scorsese (exec producer of the show) calls Graham his "British Joe Pesci" .

I've been meaning to but people keep saying it got worse with each season.

Did I hear it's ended or ending soon?

Yes, admittedly the show's quality has declined. But it's still very good, filled with a lot of top performances and characters. It's one of those shows like Prison Break that makes you wanna watch for the characters, rather than the story.

Yes, Boardwalk Empire's fifth and final season will be broadcast in 2014.

What was that thing that Steph was on, it was on BBC one, with that gay guy Andrew whats his face.

And I will say Lacey, Steph is one of the best on HO though, she is up there with Jessica who plays Nancy (another underatted actor)

She was on Andrew Lloyd Webber's program to search for the next Nancy (in Oliver Twist). She came 2nd although she should have won in my opinion. It is a shame she didn't use that success and advertisement to get something big in the west end like some of the others from the show. I think she is better than Lacey personally but mainly because I have seen her perform outside of hollyoaks too. I also never was amazed by Lacey and think she is the Eastenders equivalent of way too talked about Michelle 'common as muck' Keegan. Steph can sing and dance amazingly too so she is a triple threat.

Lacey Turner.

I'm sure Stephanie's a lovely girl but she's a horrible actress and plays one of the worst characters on television.

It's not that Steph is bad. It's just that Sinead is such a ridiculous, unsympathic character than nobody can warm to.

I think both are great, but Stephanie edges it for me. Stephanie doesn't get the credit she deserves and is one of the best on Hollyoaks at the moment.

BIB - She didn't come second. She was eliminated fairly early on in the series.

They both have their strengths and their weaknesses, however I personally prefer Lacey, Stephanie has shown what a fantastic actress she is becoming in recent episodes however.

I didn't see the Nancy one but she was on the Over the Rainbow one for the search for Dorothy, she came quite high up I think she was 4th or 5th or something. She was so lovely on that, a completely different person in real life from Sinead. I think she is a great actress and an amazing singer.

Yes, it was Dorothy, not Nancy. According to the website, she was eliminated fifth, and there were still six remaining contestants.

I dont think they can be fairly judged as this is Stephanie only acting job to date while lacey has had numerous roles
