In DS's recent interview with Mark Charnock aka Marlon Dingle he revealed that 'Donna plot future is jaw-dropping'

Eventually Marlon sees sense and asks Donna to stay in villiage

"Donna is also chuffed to bits. Marlon nervously asks her whether he can take April out for the day, and Donna is overwhelmed and gives him a big hug. It's a friendly hug, but Rhona starts to become suspicious at this point that Donna is here for reasons other than introducing Marlon to April…"

"Donna has got massive stuff coming up with me, massive stuff with April and massive stuff with other characters.

"The angles that the story takes are all very acute and genuinely shocking. When I first heard about them, I genuinely had my mouth open with shock. I don't think the audience have seen anything like this for a long while. Some of the stuff coming up is genuinely jaw-dropping and it's very exciting to be part of it…"

According to the interview the actress gave on DS she mentions the big stuff had to do something regarding the police as she is a policewoman. Is it a siege of some kind (not again) or some drug bust. Anyway no mention of health issues.

well, that all sounds very "genuine" I'm genuine when I say that I genuinely don't care about any storyline that genuinely includes Marlon, who I'm genuinely sure is one of the worst characters of all time... genuinely. My massive jaw has just dropped at how massively genuine my feelings are on the subject of anything that contains Marlon... genuinely.

Do you have a massive jaw then? I will always picture you as Desperate Dan now.

I also love Cow pie! AND I have a permanent 5 o'clock stubble....
dear god.... I AM desperate Dan

Seriously, I'm genuinely being genuine when I say that some actors genuinely shouldn't be allowed to speak without a script. Its massively obvious they have genuinely lost the ability to genuinely string a genuine sentence together... its a massive problem for a lot of genuine actors.

Donna returns to the police force, so my theory is this big story will lead to the end of Declan.

Well I just read this and I have a feeling its going to be a lot more than this. Though I hate the fact that she is only there for such a short time.

Hmm, actually sounds very exciting.

Still think from what Verity says about 'definitely' only being around for 5 months, that can only mean the sl ends in her death one way or another.

I've thought that since she gave an interview talking about how it's a great story over 5 months and then at the end of the interview she was asked if she'd be at all interested in staying on beyond 5 months and she makes it clear it's a definite 5 months which seemed to mean there was no way she could stay on.

Doesn't Verity tread the boards now-a-days?

That could be the reason she's only back on screen for five months.

I'm glad she's made a reappearance as Donna, it's just a shame April wasn't mentioned by Viv before her poor exit with Terry a few years back.

if they kill off donna i'm gonna be so upset, that's another link to the shows past gone (I know she wasn't exactly around in the 70's, but I remember watching when I was a kid in the 90's so to me she's always been part of the show).
it looks likely tho, and didn't kate oates say in an interview a few months back that she's keen to do some more stunts? maybe donna goes out like that?

I don't understand why they would create a come back story just to kill her off.

I am quite liking Donna on her return, I wonder if they do kill her off if we'll see Kelly and Scott.
