I guess he could pop back for guest appearances. They should do swaps more often, it's always exciting seeing established characters in a new environment.

I'm guessing this ones not a joke, it's quite plausible that he'd want to go back to London after a year or so in Cardiff.

There is also the fact his agency page has had "Casualty (2012-2014)" on it for a while now

He confirmed it himself on Lorraine this morning. I don't think his character fitted in on Casualty and I can't see him fitting in on Holby at all but I do like the fact these cross overs are becoming a regular thing now. Giving Holby and Casualty the same overral exec producer was a good decision.

Here's hoping whilst he's at Elstree for Holby he gets an Eastenders offer

This is great news. I think I'll like Fletch more if he's in Holby City. I love Alex but the whole Fletch/Tess thing made me not like him very much, I think this is what the character needs - a fresh start

Yeah, I think he may have asked for the transfer for the ease of filming in London and living in Kent. He made it clear a few times (though jokingly) that he wasn't a fan of the commute.

I will have to start watching Holby City because I am a big fan of Fletch! The Fletch and Tess storyline is not over .

This.

Which is why I'm similarly looking forward to Connie Beauchamp going into Casualty (a direct swap from Holby City).

Haha, so Casualty will be the place all ex Holby City stars go to and Holby City will have ex casualty actors.

Ooh think you might need to borrow a tin helmet HEUS - because that's really not the consensus of opinion over on the Holby thread. Well, to be fair the idea of a joint exec producer isn't at issue - more the person they've got filling the role at the moment.

Such a shame. I love Fletch but never watch Holby City.

Exactly. Having an EP overseeing both shows is in principle a good idea to keep a sense of cohesion and continuity within the fictional universe. The issue is with who they have hired to do it and his visions for the shows which many (though of course not all) consider to be flawed.

Even though this release indicates a lack of logic as it seems as though Colette is unaware he is working at the Hospital until she sees him on AAU. But as Director of Nursing she is in overall charge of all the Nursing staff - including those on Casualty not just HC so would already know about him - and indeed have been involved in any disciplinary action (if the gambling gets out of hand and has a detrimental affect on his work) and transfer approval to another Ward.

He already has a final written warning under his belt, so any more disciplinary action would render them potentially terminating his contract. Unless of course they brush all that under the carpet...

Ooh, forget about something established in a previous episode because it is inconvenient? Never!!!!

Sadly it is nearly a weekly event in HC these days - don't know about Casualty as i've only just started watching again.

EastEnders is one programme I wouldn't want to see him in.
