Tonight's EastEnders really upset me the way mick left stan on the side of the road then when it cut to stan his mouth quivering with emotion It was good they shown that he actually was sorry . And no matter what he's done mick shouldn't have did that he's his dad at the end of the day.😢

Yes. You don't do that to someone, particularly when they're so defenseless.

For me, that was one of the most outrageous scenes in EE history.

It was a bit out of order especially as the father gave them money to save the pub!
Stan is obnoxious though.

Yes you could really tell in that last scene he was frightened mick really hurt him. Above all the beravo I think stan genuinely loves his kids he just doesn't know how to show it.

Stan's a vile git and Mick should've finished him off there and then.

He should have just taken it on the chin. He's an old man at the end of the day

Exactly.
I fully expect Mick to turn around anyway, He was just angry and it was just spur of the moment.
He is trying to teach him a lesion but Stan won't actually care.

What if once Mick drives off he gets up and walks away like Andy in Little Britain?!

I disagree with what Mick did, but asking people to just take insults, and genuinely hurtful comments "on the chin" is ridicilous - the things he said were horrible - and it sounds like typical behaviour from him - just who he is - they seem to expect it of him, and he shows no remorse whatsoever for hurting the feelings of others - they should not have to put up with potentially persistent, consistent vile comments from a man like that, from a man whom by all accounts likely gave them a childhood of similar emotional abuse (potentially more - i mean he is an old man now and this is what he is like - what must he have been like back in the day) maybe some COULD pass off those horrific comments, but imagine what they must sound like and potentially bring back to the people who spent a childhood, or partial childhood living with it and potentials worse.

He does care as we seen how broken he was in that last shot with his mouth going.

You don't leave somebody in the road like that! That's like physical torture to a defenseless old man. Mick is so much better than that - he should have just taken him back to his flat and left him there.

He doesn't really.
Mark my words Stan will be back to his old self once Mick realises what he has done.
When Stan gets back to the Vic he will be worse.

Oh yes because simply being old is an excuse for anything.. suppose we should get out on a rape spree with no holds bars and go "she's an old women at the end of the day" to dismiss it all.

"Finished him off" as in killed him? Dear god, some of the views on here...
Yes, not just for his comments but for being such as useless father all their lives. No-one would've no-one and he would have been able to solve his financial problem pretty swiftly.

I suspect he goes back for him in the next episode.

Probably because Shirley's a manipulative, selfish drunk and spitefully turned everyone else against him.

But considering she's being portrayed as the Square's resident Mary Sue, Stan probably broke her china doll when she was a kid.

I do think that maybe they have a heart to heart next Friday. The spoilers say that Mick is overcome with emotion when he finally gets the answers he's been wanting....

Fairly sure there are some dark secrets to come to further justify Mick's behaviour. I don't think he intended to do it from the moment they set off; Stan should have seen where he went wrong earlier in the day and not continued to turn the screws.

Very raw but this is Stan...he has no tact but once he is settled in Walford that will be tamed.
