Ever sl seems to be on repeat.
Phelan sl
Gary does something stupid - Owen tries to sort it out (he doesn't) - Phelan blackmails them - Anna tries to tell them its ok but it isn't - So Gary does something stupid again to try and solve it and it keeps repeating.
Peter and Tina affair
Peter and Tina sleep together - Tina wants Peter to break up - Peter doesn't Tina gets angry but as she's an idiot belives that Peter will tell her when she' sfeeling better - they sleep together again.
Sawfie and Maddeh
Maddeh do you love me Maddeh, Maddeh what you doing Maddeh Maddeh it's ok now Maddeh - Sally gets annoyed for them being close - they walk off and Sawfie starts doing her annoying Maddeh voice again.
Also every episode David and Kylie are always making stay with their kids so they can have supposedly funny momments of them trying to have sex.
Misshell oh Steve you're such an idiot, you do everything wrong and I can't stand to be with you everything is always your fault because you're an idiot this is every episode.
Fiz (Whiney voice) Roy, Roy, Roy I need to find something you're doing wrong even though you're a grown adult but I feel like I need to patronise you.
This is how every episode goes.

It's part of Blackburns vision for the show. As part of the move to MediaCity, every scene must either involve Tina, Fiz, or be set on a building site.

And we're now about to get more of the yawnfest that was Tyrone and Kirsty. He's going to be stalked and we will have to see his confused face, hear Fiz whining, then Kirsty snarling, all over again. I don't know why that story can't just be left alone. It's never a good idea to return to the same situation repeatedly.

Maybe Kirsty will kill Fiz

I bet the Kirsty messages are from Maria. Isn't she supposed to be going a bit off the rails this year?

CS will come out of its repetitive loop when they ask the writer's to write new scripts. It seems the actors are acting out the same script every week.

If you have seen 1 episode of Corrie you have seen them all.

From being an avid fan, I now only watch Coronation Street occasionally, and I will probably wean myself off completely soon. The present writers need to be replaced with new ones, people who are not obsessed with sex in all its forms.

Completely agree. I only watch the occasional episode now (and fast forward most of it when I do) but for the past few weeks it seems like when I do dip in, every story is still at the exact same point as last time I watched.

Corrie has come to a complete standstill. Not a good thing for a soap.

I noticed this last week too, they drag out episodes and put in lots of fillers.

The whole PeterTina thing just seems like a rehash of Shelly/Lucy too - the way he's acting all torn between the two, the pregnancy etc...

I have been an avid fan of Corrie since 1980; now I just find it boring. So many characters are underused too. And where has the humour gone? The way Maddy's name is said by Sawfie really annoys me. I quite agree, stuck in a continual loop with **** writing.

Same here.....in fact I only watch CS on Catch up now so I can watch the bits I want to and fast forward the rest I usually watch about five minutes of it if that...a shame because at one time I couldn't wait for an episode to begin...ED for me is going the same way..it makes me wonder if all soaps have had their day and are on the way out.....

Ena Sharples would be turning in her grave at CS now. It's humourless, unpleasant and everything the OP said.

Let me know when it picks up because I've given up on it now but look forward to the day when it's watchable again. I gave up on Emmerdale too when he was in charge and have never really got back into it since. The Blackburn Effect.

Sex and fiesty women. Corrie has become a bargain basement parody of it's former self.

When I first started reading the posts on this forum that kept mentioning how Stuart Blackburn had spoiled Emmerdale, I had been watching the soap and definitely thought it was inferior to Coronation Street. Now this man has moved over to CS, I understand completely what the postings were about. He seems to have an obsession with race, colour, dubious (unlikeable) characters which he managed to introduce into Emmerdale (Allie) and now has introduced into CS. I agree the racist storyline was appalling and now with the introduction of Maddy he has just about managed to ruin my viewing. I suppose it will take the advertisers to see their revenue drop as viewing figures diminish, to finally make the powers that be realise this man is responsible and take appropriate action.

I've stopped watching it too. I've gone to ED. I'll watch CS again when the producer changes . It's sad saying goodbye too something I used to enjoy . Like giving up smoking it was. But it was leaving me feeling depressed and discontented each time I wasted my time with it. Nobody likeable in it except my lovely Steve and dear Mary.

It does seem they've ran out of ideas. 5 episodes a week is clearly too much. Return to 3 episodes a week and get a new EP then the quality of the show will rise sky high.

It just seems like they're treading water with every storyline at the moment, waiting for things to get interesting. Considering how they persuaded Michelle Keegan to stay longer for her exit, then rushed the beginning of the affair with Peter, they seem to be killing time now until she's murdered. The Phelan story is just the same dialogue every week, and I can't even remember what else is going on it's that tedious.
