And off she goes from one soap to another ....

I can't vote in the poll because I forgot to watch the programme.
She's in Casualty. Where is Casualty filmed (Cardiff/Bristol?). Won't it take her longer to get there than from London to M'cr??? So why leave Corrie?

Stella is getting the worst exit ever!!
She's only appeared in about 3 scenes tonight
No wonder Michelle Collins was pissed off
This is exactly what I thought! This was her last episode and she was hardly in it and didn't even get the last scene. She was a divisive character but she deserved much better!

Can't believe Blackburn didn't even give any scenes to remember Sunita on the first anniversary of her death, she was a long term character I refuse to believe Stella would have forgotten

Perhaps she didn't really like it any more?

I'm not sure she ever did. She moaned about the horrendous commute (2 hours in 1st class) from London to Siberia (Manchester) almost from day one.

Didn't she say something about travel and not being able to see her daughter in some interview?

I think she did. OK, Casualty is two fifths of Corrie, but do they do they same filming blocks? If she's travelling to Bristol/Cardiff to film as much as she did for Corrie, then the reasoning is wrong...

She's only in Casualty for 2 months and has already filmed most of her bits now.

I don't blame her, I wouldn't like to travel from London to Manchester every day. Its two hours to Manchester from where I am, going up once in a while for a day out to visit relatives is quite enough, but the thought of doing that journey every day or even every week

She didn't do it every day though. She stayed up here during the week and went back to London at weekends usually, (hence not seeing her kid enough). Although it could hardly have come as a surprise to her that Corrie is filmed in Manchester.

Seeing how quickly the weekend comes around (and goes even quicker), I still wouldn't want to do such a journey on a regular basis. It seems very very far to me, but then I've been born and bred in a town so small you can walk right around it in 10 minutes flat and never worked further than half a mile away from my back door

Quite. And, as posted here, the actress said, not long after she started, that she wouldn't be able to stay in the programme long because she missed her child.Ooh, another actress said that, too, same programme.

Ah, I remember, years ago now, leaving home about quarter to eight in the morning to catch a train to London, and arriving home after work about 6.30pm; and then going in to work Saturday mornings, too!

CW, it's not every day as they film in blocks, and London to M'cr a couple of days a week will be preferable to London to Bristol/Cardiff..... It's just another excuse to leave...

I think tonight's episode was quite strong so I gave it a 9.

Deirdre, Gail, Beth and Julie singing New York was hilarious as was Steve + Peter

I am still noticing the improvement over the last few weeks. I particularly liked the Steve/Peter scenes this evening. See you later lovely Stella!

Stop harassing people Julie,,,you pathetic cow
I am seriously ****ing sick of Julie and her endless fundraising shite.
Someone give Julie a smack
Julie should offer three bullets for a pound to fire at her.
Apart from Julie,,,that was a good epsode
It's sad when a nice lady gets criticised for trying to do something nice for charity.

Congratulations to Julie for organising a successful event.

Evening folks. The air pollution warnings certainly weren't a con, we've had four staff faint this afternoon and everything's covered in brownish dust here in the East Midlands……… you could say it's all going beige……

Spoiler

ON THIS DAY IN CORRIE HISTORY

A SERIES BY agatha

Just one this week, but it's a landmark - it's 34 years to the day that Ena Sharples last appeared on the nation's "favourite" Street.

2nd April 1980

http://youtu.be/1lyjl1SIv_g

Agatha's Midweek Ratings Poll will appear as usual as the credits roll. Last week's episode, which was all about Gary and Owen nicking tiles and getting caught by Phelan, was a bit of a disaster, scoring 3.75 out of 10 on mean average!

See you later.
Poll Grrr

Evening Cobbleheads.

I hope Stella's farewell includes a final pilgrimage to Toni's grave.
No mention of Toni who died trying to save her, what a cow Stella is.
