Would EastEnders work on a different day?
Like to know if moving one episode to different day is a good idea?
Like moving Friday episode to Wednesday as soap does the worst on a Friday. Or may having two episodes on another day. This is just out of interest as I was talking about always catching up on Friday episode to mates and it got me thinking. Sorry if annoys anyone. |

Don't apologize, it's a good question. Personally I think the quality could improve if they lost the Friday episode. Less need for random filler.

It would work far better on a Wednesday at 8:00 so not to clash with either of ITV's soaps.
Friday ep could still be used for a big week and reveals as usual |

You are making perfectly valid points so there is absolutely no need to apologise.
Like many say Eastenders has a large portion of fans who are young adults, so yeah it would make practical sense if they just done away with the Friday episode and put it on a Wednesday slot instead. |

It definitely could work on a Wednesday. I'd like a straight, uninterrupted run of episodes for one of the soaps (Hollyoaks excluded). So Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs would be good, as most people are out on Fri anyway.

Monday: 8:00pm - 8:30pm
Tuesday: 7:30pm - 8:00pm Wednesday: 8:30pm - 9:00pm Thursday: 7:30pm - 8:00pm Friday: 9:30pm - 10:00pm Maybe a later episode on Friday's would be better and secure more viewers. Make it after the watershed so the soap can be darker and grittier... |

It might not clash with any English soaps, but BBC and RTE (Ireland) share programs and another soap airs on RTE at 8pm on a Wednesday. That's probably not the reason why it's not on a Wednesday, but could it be part of it?
(Edited to add that RTE is the channel that shows EE in Ireland) |

I wouldn't want them to get rid of the Friday episode, but I wish they would bring the omnibus back to Sunday's.

5 days a week would be a disaster.
4 is enough. 3 would be ideal. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. |

I'd just rather them air at 8pm every time. Corrie should then have all the 7.30pm slots.
