New Unblock Feature Switches Off Forced Subtitles
You can now switch off the forced subtitles on regions like Mexico and Brazil which are often on more recent films. Underneath the region picker there is a switch which says captions on or off. Move it across to switch them off. Apparently works on yellow colour subtitles only.
However there seems to be a software bug. I went to Brazil and tried to play The Butler. With captions on it plays but with forced subtitles. Switch captions off and it plays for about five seconds then displays error loading content. But it clearly had no subs while it was playing. I tried The Call as well and same problem. This is on Apple tv. Anyone else tried this feature and having the same problem. Not sure if you switch captions off before switching to the region or after. |

It works fine.
I had to start the film, switch them off and restart the film - but they had gone. |

Might have to cancel overplay and move back to unblock us ![]() Yeah it seems for the time being at least that Unblock-Us is the way to go, someone over at AVForums posted this just a moment a go. Quote:
I asked Overplay if they were going to implement the same thing. This was their reply...
" Hello, It's possible to accomplish, but it's not something we will be able to do in the near future." |

Since the chnage I haven't been able to use Netflix in Latin American countries (haven't tried other non-English versions yet) on my iPad. Just says Title can't Play.
Strangely enough if I click the chromecast button and then play it works fine on my chromcast its just directly playing it from the ipad app to the ipad |

You can do this with Adfreetime as well which also happens to be cheaper than Unblock US.

I had to start the film, switch them off and restart the film - but they had gone. We have identified an issue with the caption blocker, we are currently looking into it and hope to have it sorted as soon as possible. We have tested, and it is important to note that the caption blocker is still working despite the website itself indicating otherwise. So it looks like there is a general problem that needs sorting. |

I don't think they have an option for a trial anymore but it's always worked well for me. Excellent value for £1.25.
