Favourite task?
I'm not talking about specific series or episodes here, I'm saying favourite task generally. Which is your favourite?
I really like the 'design a product' one and the advertising one. I also really liked the one where they had to go and work in a big shop - in Series 1 they had to go to Harrods and in Series 2 it was Topshop, but they scrapped it after that. I also really liked the one that they had in Series 3 where they were given £200 and could just go and do whatever with it, as it was so raw and pretty much anything could happen. They haven't really done that one again, although I suppose the final task in Series 9 was quite similar. |

I love the novelty tasks they have that are quite unique, like the Rubbish task in Series 7 and the Away Day task in Series 9 - its nice to have something a bit different each year. Oh, and the Freemium Magazine Launch!!
I love the product design tasks too! I also like the one where they have to select products and sell them to trade, or the variants of this (ie. selling products at a caravan show). And the abroad episodes have been some of the best. France in Series 3, Marrakech, Dubai etc. |

1) TV shopping channel.
2) Going abroad, always good for a laugh. 3) The buying random items / trying to sell random items and spotting the diamond in the rough things. 4) Any tasks that involve them trying to poison the public with their homemade food.

I will just point out that there isn't a 'going abroad' task; they've been abroad for lots of different things. Sometimes they've had to sell things over there, sometimes they've had to export things from abroad back to the UK and sometimes that has been the 10 items task. You can't lump them into one.

It's not so much the task involved but the dealing with a different culture/ different language that made me lump them together.

Do you count Series 2's ship task in that?
I think it fits somewhere between the two. |

Probably the developing/manufacturing a product task (even if it did lead to imho the most horrible Aprrentice scene ever).
Who can forget Kristina blackmailing the parents of a kid over a lolly or the emergency biscuit? My favourite would be the one below (this clip featuring the most classic Nick reaction and the task also showed one of the great examples of teamwork......even if it did fail in the end; oh, and a nice shower scene ):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrEa3zUO2V8 EDIT: Interesting how 4 of the final 5 are on the same team here (and the winner and the two earlier firees ended up in the boardroom) |

I must be boring, but the "buying" task where both teams have to get the same 10 items. This is because its simple (or at least in theory should be) but both teams seem to make mistakes in the simple task.

TBF, I don't think they were ALL being vultures - yes Jenny C, Lee and Alex were dicks and Michael made some comment that he was in no position to make (with him being on the other team and all), but everyone else did nothing wrong.
But yes, Jenny C, Lee and Alex were just so aggressive towards her|! |

Lucinda, Raef and Claire all defended her, whilst all the others bar Helene were dicks. To be honest, I think that's the horrible manipulative effect of Jenny C and most were intimidated by her. It does make me angry but what can you do? Sir Alan saw through the bullshit thankfully.
If I'd been Claire, I would have told them that Sir Alan had said that Kevin would not have been fired had he brought Jenny into the boardroom, as she deserved to go. |

I kind of wished we saw Sara standing up for herself...
By the way Jack Jenny M didn't attack Sara - she said "exactly... Its f*cking me off - that's hardly an attack... |

Also, I don't think it was THAT unfair for Sara to go in Week 8... She didn't want to be there any more by that stage anyway

He didn't really though, did he? Because he fired her two weeks later.

Don't get me wrong because I loved Sara and thought she was heavily underrated by the other candidates, but it's not as if Sara did nothing to deserve getting fired on that task. Whilst I do think that both Michael and Helene should have been fired ahead of her, she probably did deserve to be in the boardroom and sold nothing on task. Sir Alan said that he disregarded the ganging up in the card boardroom.
Quote:
I think she didn't want to do that, or at least not say it outright, as she'd have antagonised Jenny C who clearly had influence in the group. Claire was clever; she was able to criticise Jenny whilst she wasn't in the final boardroom but to openly criticise her would have been a foolish move. She did criticise Jenny in her own way by sticking up for Sara.

I'm a sucker and really like the tasks where they have to make and sell food or pitch a food product because it normally goes horribly wrong.
There was one - I can't quite remember which series it was from, maybe last year? - where they made a package of food for children with a skull on it... Another of my favourite ones was the coffee task in series 3. Still not recovered from 200 litres of milk estimation... |

I sometimes like the product design task but I don't understand why its so early in process as it usually means a lot of people inherently are in background and every series, the one who "doesn't contribute" gets fired on this task. I think product design task should be like task 9 as it seems much more advanced business wise than selling vegetables at a market or something. Specific tasks I think are great are the ones like the restaurant or farm shop, the selling to trade tasks and some negotiation ones. I usually find the advertising ones a bit dull but the Series 8 fitness advertising task was interesting. It will be hard for there to be any more completely unique tasks for a whole series as there have been like 110 tasks now, including the young apprentice.

They still come up with original ones from time to time. Last year's away-day task was completely different from anything that they have done before. |
