BiB Seriously???
Brucie was "established" with decades of live entertainment show experience.

Claudia scaled back by giving up It Takes Two a few years ago, as naturally that was 5 days a week, as opposed to one or two. Especially given the results show is filmed after the live show on the Saturday, and I'd assume she normally sits through the live shows before they recorded the results, it wouldn't take any more away from her family time is she stepped up permanently.

I mean in terms of Strictly, not Show-business itself!

I wish him luck- despite his errors, he did a good job. I wonder if Tess will go as well?
I'm excited about who they might bring in next but I hope to goodness they don't go for Steve Jones, John Barrowman or Vernon Kay.

Completely agree with that sentimentMr Saturday night (and odd Sundays) for almost as long as I can remember, certainly as long as we had TV!

It was time for Sir Bruce to retire, he needs to think of his health now. Lots of respect due to him though, and I look forward to seeing him on the specials mentioned.
I hope they keep the presenting team to Tess and Claud, the show runs very smoothly with them, and Clauds' sense of humour is always something to look forward to

I don't want to say anything 'wrong', but having Graham would be an imbalance of campness (for me at least), with him, Bruno and Craig...

It certainly was time - I guess with Claudia's kiddie-winks maybe a bit older she might front up with Tess...

They should replace Tess as well and give the show a much needed shake up.

From BBC Website

Sir Bruce Forsyth is stepping down as presenter on Strictly Come Dancing he's been presenting the show since 2004. The BBC One series celebrates its 10th series later this year.

No replacement has been announced.

Sir Bruce will continue to present one-off specials of the show such as Strictly Christmas Special and the Strictly Children in Need Special.

The presenter, who was knighted in 2011, missed a number of shows last series due to illness.

He quit the results show in 2010 and was replaced by Claudia Winkleman. The show is recorded immediately after the live show on a Saturday.

"I've been leaving this show since it started," he jokingly told BBC News in 2009.

Another thought, does FM TerryM know yet ? ? ! !

PP mentioned Alexander Armstrong, I think he'd be a good host.

Think that might be a good bet actually, I'd love to see Claudia do it full time though!

There won't be enough people bleeding from injuries for Pip to come on board!

BBC News has just had Anne Widdecombe and she says it should be Anton DB, is this a hint from the beeb? Plugging from a supposed unbiased source or am I reading too much into a quickly organised reaction from a past contestant?

Yes I do remember AW was ADB partner.

Nice to know the BBC Website is abreast of the facts!

I really wish him well. He made SCD, no doubt about that, but the time has come for him to step down. He has done it with dignity, and I admire him for that.

I wish him well.

My only fear now is who will take over from him. He is a tough act to follow.

Good shout but I'd want Richard Osman taking over from Tess

I don't think he would, he was very good at the musical shows with ALW, and I never thought of his presenting as particularly camp, although he can joke where it needs to be. Certainly would be less likely to camp it up than Barrowman, I would definitely stop watching if he took over!

I had exactly the same thought. He is funny but not over the top. I suspect he can tailor his energy to suit the show. Also he is very musical so would be able to cope with the music choices

Maybe Michael McIntyre could replace him
