Anyone thought of Michael Ball as a contender for the host of Strictly? I could see him working well with Tess Daly.

Of all the things Alexander Armstrong is, it is not boring. He'd be totally unsuitable for Strictly, but that's because he's not the sort of all round entertainer Strictly needs to present it. I don't see him as a singer/dancer sort really, he's too cerebral, and too much into "modern comedy" that I don't find at all funny, or is there another side to him that I don't know about?
I enjoy watching him on Pointless though.
