Great to see Ali Brownlee back on top form. Atmosphere looked fantastic in Leeds

GB sailors made the most of home advantage in the ISAF Sailing World Cup as they won no fewer than 13 medals, 7 of which were claimed by those competing in Rio.

The AOB World Olympic Qualification Event (16-25 June) is the penultimate opportunity for boxers to earn berths, with Pat McCormack and Josh Kelly hoping to make it in the -64kg and -69kg divisions respectively. 5 berths available in each one, so I presume that includes the semi-finalists (don't know how the fifth is decided).

Here's the Rio-bound canoe sprint squad.

One thing that stands out is Liam Heath being selected for the K-1 200m - yet according to this page (at time of posting), Team GB doesn't have a berth in that event. Am I missing something?

-----

Never mind - just answered my own question:
British canoeists have qualified one boat in each of the following events through the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships and the Olympic selection trials, held in Duisburg (18 to 19 April 2016). Under Olympic rules, the successful canoeists may also enter other events where no Team GB canoeist is currently entered. As a result, it is expected that Liam Heath, a world Cup gold medalist in the K-1 200m, will take part in that event.

Tight qualifying group, must win game, tension building, a centuries-old sporting and cultural rivalry - yes at 20:00 hours tonight Team GB must beat Germany in the Men's Hockey Champions' Trophy to earn a place in the next round.

The only good news - no chance of a penalty shootout.

More Rio confirmations - this time the open water swimming team, Kerri-Anne Payne and Jack Burnell.

Team GB Diving Team confirmed - well capable of bringing back multiple medals, but the Chinese will probably hoover up 90-100% of the Golds.

Ended 3-3, so GB advance to the bronze medal playoff against Germany, 18:00 tonight. Final is Australia v India.

Events this week

Archery - World Cup in Anatalya, Turkey. Last chance for Olympic Qualifcation. On recent form Britain's men's team have a decent chance of making it, but the women are probably hoping for a single quota place.

And some Eurosport highlights next week.

Hockey - Men's Championship Trophy winds up this evening, Women's Championship Trophy starts tomorrow, all live on BT Sports.

Rowing - Final World Cup from Poznan. The British teams were a bit struck by illness in Lucerne, so will be getting their last full strength workout here. Still a few Olympic seats up for grabs.

TV Coverage is full live finals day on BBC Red Button on Sunday morning, highlights on BBC2 on Sunday afternoon, Eurosport highlights on Monday.

The last pre-Olympic regatta was a pretty good one - 8 medals (2G 3S 3B) in the applicable events. Come Rio, I suspect the total will be 6 or 7, including 3 golds. (That assumes GB win the men's eight, which is a possibility as the Germans only beat them by around six tenths in Poznan).

Naomi Folkard won silver in Antalya, and with it a women's individual berth.

Unfortunately both the teams went out at the quarter-finals, so one men and one women's place is all we get.

The taekwondo squad has been selected. The only dilemma for the selectors was the men's -80kg division, where Lutalo Muhammad got the nod.

Both ladies are arguably favourites for gold.

More fallout from the doping retests on the London and Beijing samples - Russia (no!), Belarus (surely not!) and Kazakhstan (Holmes, you astound me!) face bans from the Weightlifting competition.

Pat McCormack has won his -64kg quarter-final, which means he's off to Rio.
Josh Kelly will be boxing for a berth as well today.

He won his -69kg quarter-final, so Team GB will have 12 (out of a possible 13) boxers in Rio! The only division where they won't be represented is the women's -60kg; all 10 men's divisions will involve a Brit.

Although academic from a domestic point of view, I now know who gets the fifth berth - the quarter finalist that lost to the eventual champion.

Good news from the European Fencing Championships in Poland - the British Men's Foil team took bronze. Pretty much the same team will be competing in Rio.

What's on this weekend

Canoe Sprint European Champs from Moscow. Eurosport brings us some canoe coverage for the first time this season, live on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Hockey - Finals of the Women's Champions' Trophy. Sadly Team GB have not been in great form, so are looking at the 5/6th play-off.

And, not involving us, but important - the US Swimming Nationals / Olympic trials start on Sunday and run all next week. Bound to be setting the benchmark speeds for Rio in lots of events.

Liam Heath underlines his Olympic medal potential with European gold in the K1 200m; silver for Jessica Walker in the women's equivalent.

Some rowing team selection changes. Chances of medals must be very slim though.

Just seen from USA swimming trials that Ryan Lochte didn't make the team for 400 medley (1 of the events he's reigning champ in). Has a groin injury so remains to be seen how much this affects him for other events.

BT Sport have a lot of coverage of the Henley Rowing Regatta this week.

It's rowing, but not as we know it - head to head knockout races involving lots of club, University and School teams, as well as international-level squads. Don't know if any of the Olympic teams are involved this year - they have been in the past.

Also the Scots don't seem too happy about the hockey selection:
