We know Jessie Wallace will be taking some time off to do a play called Fingz Aint Wot They Used T'Be, but she said on This Morning that all this meant is that she won't be appearing on screen for a while but will still be there, making some appearances every now and again, but Kat hasn't yet to face the music for her act of perjury during the Alice/Janine/Michael trial. I haven't seen any upcoming spoilers regarding this..

Should Kat get off scott free or do the time for the crime?

Jessie said that Kat sort of disappears for a while she is off doing the rehearsals, then appears every now and again as Jessie will be filming the odd scene during the run. I think she'll get a month inside to be honest. Jessie was probably told not to elaborate on how Kat 'disappears.' The Janine/Stacey deal thing seemed contrived so there must be a reason for it.

She did the crime so she should do the time but I doubt she will get a long sentence!

Yes she really should. Her callous disregard for the Law and the potential consequences of her lies was shocking. The fact that Alice happened not to face years in Prison is irrelevant - that had nothing to do with Kat who was willing to throw her to the wolves. Her then using her children to try and get off was just despicable as well. Being a mother is not a 'get out of gaol free' card and she (along with several others in the show) seem to believe it is.

Yes, I hate what they've done to Kat since her return.

Slightly off topic but ... my sister and I are going to see "Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be" as a birthday treat for me! I'm looking forward to it as although I don't like "Kat" I do like Jessie in other roles. She was great in "The Road To Coronation Street". Also, Ryan Molloy is in it which is a bonus.

Yeah she should probably do some porridge as a neat way to get her off screen for a bit. She can be released with a tag too for some extra story.
