I like Halloween but not trick or treating.
That's the bit I hate. Tis begging.

Exactly. I buy sweets just for me not to share with kids I've never seen!

I feel sorry for any elderly people who get scared when the kids knock.

I usually buy sweets too I like going to my eldest sister's house around this time of year as she carves a pumpkin and does give local kids sweeties. But it usually means I get to have some too

Me too. A couple years ago these kids round us came running up to our house and threw a flying kick at our door. Scared the s**t out of me, my Mum & my sis' dog as it was SO loud. We thought it was just someone knocking dead loud. Only to discover a minute later what had actually happened. My Mum was so angry! We were just glad it was us they did it to and not my Nan otherwise we think she would have died with fright.

I don't blame your mum for being angry, I'd be furious!

I agree. But we don't know who did it My Mum did go looking out for them but they would have legged it and we didn't react immediately as we thought it was a knock not a kick. Got some right little sods living round here.

I never get any trick or treaters out in the back of beyond where I lives....my neighbours have three children but they are uber christians and I don't think the kids are allowed to meddle with the dark side even one night a year. Tis a good job they don't know what I get up to

Yep. They do it because they know they'll get away with it.

I'm the opposite of an uber christian missy....they would probably think I was a devil worshipper. Actually I don't even believe in him, since he's a christian invention

Ah fair enough. I don't believe in any religion - just causes more harm than good.

Hi Mrs T

I always find the end of the year goes so quickly.

It's been not too bad weather wise here. I'm hoping for the same on Sunday because we're off to Longleat.

Hi Missy,

I am so jealous of you going to Longleat, I googled in the summer in case I was venturing anywhere near to it. Fingers crossed it is fine but you'll enjoy it no matter I bet
