Then met my Mum and we went food shopping & McDonalds Well ate that at home and she's lent me her old laptop so been on here. But installing what feels like a BILLION updates. Thanks lovely I will do when it comes round.

Just going to put my ramble about my laptop in a spoiler so it's optional to read/reply
Spoiler
My Mum forgot to look at work to see if she could get me a new lead for my laptop and can't now look til Sat as she's away tomorrow & Friday. If not, I said I'll just get one from Toshiba's website (so I know it's safe) and it's £54 My Mum suggested I just keep her old laptop as it's apparently not worth me getting a new lead for my laptop as it's 3 years old anyway. But to be fair apart from last year's issue, my laptop is still doing well (although the battery is kinda ****ed). So I said I might aswell just a buy a new one and she said it wasn't worth doing that and agreed I should just get the new lead if they don't have it....confusing much?

I would keep her old laptop as it's really nice but it's a vista laptop and I'm rather fond and used to Windows 7 now.

£54 does seem a tad excessive though......excuse me not responding in spoilers LOL

You sure a legit one could not be found cheaper elsewhere??

I know, it's because of a £9 tax charge but free postage I agree it's excessive! You didn't need to reply in spoilers I just did it because it's boring

I can get one from Amazon for just under £20 but no reviews or anything on there and to be fair amazon ARE so good when things go wrong.

why not ask a dude who works with IT stuff if there is a cheaper option
like does he have one lying around in a box taking up space...

I've had no trouble with Amazon, and eBay have similar methods of reimbursement if you are sold faulty goods, check out some of their deals before you part up with that much is my advice

only 3 things you need to know about PSU`s for laptops

the voltage
the amp`s
and the type/size of plug it uses to connect to the lappy

I thought you may say that. I don't know anything as the one that broke didn't come with my laptop, it came with a different model but strangely worked and it was only ever a temp measure. My Mum wants to get the same one though...

Ok and no it's black but I think it had a yellow ring where it went into that laptop if that makes sense? But it's been so long since I broke that one lol. Around Christmas time. I only need the wire that attaches to the power pack part of it and to the laptop. Not the plug to the power pack. Hope that makes sense
