Really hope so CB, is there a family member or friend that is familiar with your anxiety you could have over to talk to for an hour or two? Often helps my DIL when the anxiety peaks.
No-one in my family knows about this. And I don't think I want to discuss it with them as I know the answers they'll give will not be the ones I need. (It will most likely be about the thing that IS worrying me) Someone gave me a couple of relaxation techniques which I'm going to try. If nothing improves in my mental state by Thursday I might go to my doctors.

It's a shame none of them know or understand, and I realise the wrong sort of response is worse than useless, it just builds the anxiety. Being an old hippie I'd say draw the curtains, light a candle, get comfortable and just stare at it while trying to empty your mind of everything except the light. Very simple form of meditation and quite a good way to relax. You can even say the Ommmmmm sound since it is the protracted mmmmm's that resonate inside your body and mind and produce a state of calm...very ancient and proven thing.

Certainly see the GP if nothing is helping since he or she can prescribe something to help lift your mood

Don't blame you Twass. It's reminded me why I try not to post much outside of Chatter because it's amazing in this section. Not met anyone horrible or that I've disliked (except Nate on occasion) in Chatter.

Tis a shame about you and Nate, as having met him on several occasions, he's lovely.

I know, I never understood it myself and all I ever want to do is get on with everyone unless they're like super horrible and Nate wasn't. Even me & Sons had a few teething issues but we get on super now

I've had a couple of brief misunderstandings with folk who don't realise I'm joking, but once they get it's in humour they are OK with it. Other than one instance very early on when I first joined DS, and that poster has ignored me ever since. Wotevs

Silly people, to be fair I have ended up putting a few people on ignore for my own sanity and to make sure I don't get into trouble with the mods

Yes I was banned for 2 days but got it reversed within a few hours. Many people kicked up about including Mrs T as someone took something I said very wrongly and so did many others it would seem

Got Alty on
