Helloooo you lot
I've come to the conclusion that I was over-worrying the other day. I was worrying about asking my manager for holidays at the end of August for 3 weeks and turned out I didn't even really have to - He brought it up himself! And said he can't see any problem with it. So that's one thing less to worry about. I don't know if I'm doing the dress thing but I've seen a nice simple thing that I like and it's only $99 if I do decide to So we'll see how that goes!Emailed my estate agent to make sure it was okay for me to move in later than we agreed, as if all goes to plan I'll be in America on my original move in date. They emailed back saying that was no problem! So now all that's left to do is work my ass off at work and put in some extra shifts and all should go okay money wise! Who needs family, eh? I wish I wasn't such a worrier though - It's exhausting! |

Wow, so you've set a date? And once you are married that entitles you to remain in the US??
![]() ![]() And no, sadly not. Being married just entitles us to start the immigration process - Which takes about 10-12 months, about $1300, and lots and lots of forms - Not to mention having to travel to London twice (once to get a medical exam and once for my final visa interview) plus having to get records of all my vaccinations from the doctors (I'm expecting this to be way harder than it should be knowing the NHS) and getting any of the required vaccinations I'm missing >.> Technically I can stay in the US for 90 days with no legal problems - But financially is a whole other issue

We haven't set a date as such - We're aiming for the first week of September but nothing is definite until we've actually managed to book the flights! Which could be between 4 and 8 weeks from now!

Had a lazy day all but nipped to my elusive garden center which is lovely and eco friendly |

![]() Do whatever you want to do, it's your (both of you) day and that's okay just turning up and no witnesses, brilliant On the Footy......Ghana in the lead ![]() ![]() Yeah it took us a couple of months to find a place where you don't have to get your marriage license at least 3 days beforehand so I'm just glad we have potentially found somewhere. Anything else is extra
