Was pretty surprised to not find an official Alexis Houston thread but then again she is fairly new to the UK scene, and to be honest she has to try conquer the incredibly hard task of living up to the success of her (Half) Sister, Whitney Houston..... But personally i don't think it's about that.. She is clearly just doing what she believes in and pursuing her dream and who are we to judge or fault her for doing so....

Powerful gospel fused with a vibrant serving of RnB/pop – ‘Light’ is one of those epic tracks that reaches into your inner-depths and fills you with utter joy; anthemic percussions, intertwined with addictive beats and the utterly mind-blowing vocals of Ms Houston. With the voice of an angel delivered at jet-plane force, Alexis Houston is fast becoming the voice of our generation. Her EP ‘Light’, showcases this mighty talent with x5 songs including the title track, ‘Light’, ‘Morning Noon Night’, ‘Silence’, ‘Redacted’, ‘Light’ remix by Jake Ridley (Christina Aguilera).
Daughter of entertainment manager, John Houston and Bahamian businesswoman, Marjorie Stuart, Alexis was quite literally weaned on a staple diet of music and entertainment; her early years soaking up the experiences that make her the phenomenal global artist that she is today. The spotlight first fell on her writing and recording talent as she scored music for TV shows and penned tracks for ad campaigns including diet Coke, AT&T and McDonalds. Initially she was content with her production / writing success, but her talent couldn’t be confined for long: “Sometimes when you’re a writer, because the lyrics reflect your emotions, you’re the best vocalist to get your message across,” comments Houston.
In 2010, Alexis Houston debuted her solo album on Alls Well Music / EMI), she embarked on two UK and European Tours and performed for Prince Charles at the Princes’ Trust Gala Dinner.
Garnering snowballing media attention and an ever-increasing fan base, Alexis Houston unleashes her best material yet in the form of the illuminating, ‘Light’ and EP ‘Light’, Houston has landed – enjoy!
