Daran Little's twitter page says he is busy packing for 3days away with the EE writers. Thought they had all the stories planned out till next year?

They have a story conference every 3 months. They'll probably of planned up to Christmas already.

DTC said they had planned right up until the 30th anniversary next year. Guess they must be ironing out the finer details.

This! There is so much she can do. The show needs a new matriarch.

Another writers' conference at the licence payers' expense! Hope it was a Travelodge rather than the Hilton... don't let the Daily Mail know!

It must be so disheartening for an actress of Ann Mitchell's calibre to be in a show like EE and not being given anything decent to get her teeth into.

The last S/L she had was that pathetic attempt at a long lost daughter story with Ava. Yawn! What a wastd of time and talent

I agree that Cora really deserves a decent storyline this year. Preferably a storyline of her own, away from the rest of the Brannings.
I think it would also be nice to see Denise, Kim and Patrick get a good storyline as a family unit. I know Denise may have a lot to play in the upcoming Lucy murder SL but with Kim coming back, now is the perfect time to give them a storyline as sisters, with Patrick involved also.

Personally I'm incredibly angry about the whole thing I'm not entirely sure why or at whom I'm angry but I'm sure the Daily Mail will help me with what I need to be outraged about in due course

I agree, an actress of Ann Mitchell's calibre is being treated very badly by the writers at the moment. Ann is an East End native and is made for the show - why is she been sidelined and treated so badly by the writing team right now?

Ooh interesting, thanks for the info. I take it that the other soaps don't do this? It really feels like DTC is making sure the show can be the best it can

If that happens DTC should be ashamed of himself.

I can't fathom why Cora isn't being given more to do. Ann Mitchell is a fantastic actress and if DTC wants older characters why not give Cora a storyline? If people haven't seen her in Widows I suggest watching the box set. She was amazing as a criminal.

I do wonder why they can't hold their conferences locked away in a conference room in BBC Elstree... oh dear, I'm starting to sound like a Daily Mail reader. Not good.

In my opinion it was a real shame that the lady who played Ava was an awful choice for the character and was one of the main reasons the storyline was so awful. A flat character played by in my opinion an actor who wasn't really suited to the role. I don't think that Ann Mitchell put a foot out off line in the storyline, she was just let down by how weak it all came across

Dominic has done great things but his treatment of Ann is unacceptable to me- a first class Actress, a native EastEnder and what is she doing? It's disgusting, she deserves better, she really does.

Every storyline that Cora has had a hand in has been dull beyond belief. Cut the losses and move on.

What it is, is that the DTC and the EE's writing team often check into DS to read my posts and I have been a little displeased with a few little details not been quite up to scratch so they've decided to take my advice and pull their fingers out of their arses.

Due to the nature of my brilliance, my excellent critique it will take three days to completely analyse all my advice and come up brainstorming action plan.

She should get together with Patrick and ram raid a selection of Age Concern shops!

They should have given Cora money! Money = power and Cora's character needs power.
