Why does an interviewer have to immediately be there thrusting a microphone in the face of a sportsman/sportswoman who has just lost or won something and ask them how they feel. We know. I bet they're tempted to say "How do you think I f****** feel you numpty".!
Yes, they're always banging about 'emotions' - what are your emotions at this moment, blah blah. You wouldn't have asked that of George Best or Jim Clark or John McEnroe!

On quiz shows when the contestant gets the choice of category and it's not the one you wanted - as you're playing along at home.

Why don't soap people have pins on their phones? It would save them a lot of trouble!

Every single character in Eastenders and Coronation Street work within a 2 minute walk from their front door. EVERY single character. Its ludicrous !

And those who have big city jobs happily give them up to work in the launderette, cafe, knicker factory etc for a pittance

I really find the "adverts" on BBC annoying. Probably because I remember when they didn't do them and programmes used to follow on seamlessly, it was blissful.

And they would rather go to the nearest laundrette to wash their clothing than buy a washing machine and tumble drier (or a combo washer/drier, like we have) - or even use their sink and an airer.

The way they always blur childrens' faces out. Is there any need to be THAT paranoid about protecting their identities? We're not all paedophiles, you know!

Or go to the cafe for a tea and a chat....When their house and a free cuppa is as close.

Isn't that because the parents request it?

Stock music.

Not just the same music repeated in episodes of a show but on cheap networks the same stock music used in several shows.
and along the same lines, the stock music they use that's made to sound like famous songs because they can't afford the originals.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but my pet peeve is when on any soap/drama, when people get out of cars - especially the police/inspectors - how they never EVER lock their cars. Even with electronic locking they just run out the car leaving it unlocked, often in very dangerous areas. Every time it happens it grates on me a little more.

When Interviewers (mainly on news reports) ask redundant questions. There was a report the other day about a girl who was taking part in the next olympics and she was talking about how she's competitive etc etc and the interviewer asked her 'so when you get there (olympics) what is going to be your goal?'.
She's going to do her weekly shop. What do you think is her gonna be her goal?

I think the girl tried to be polite with her answer as she gave a little pause and said something like 'well...i'm hoping to bring back the gold medal.' Maybe she was dumbfounded at the stupidity of that question.

Also how on The Chase the music at the start of the rounds is incredibly loud/irritating.
When the people speak you have to turn the sound back up again as they have a tendency to mumble. Tbh I skip the talky bits I don't really care about Jimbob who works in an office and how he wants to go on holiday with his girlfriend. It's kinda cringey watching Bradley pretend to be super interested in these people. Just get on with the questions already!

That's the problem with light entertainment quizzes. Half the programme is about the contestants.

I've been bored so have watched a few Pointless repeats recently and that the same. It may be ok to ask what subjects they would be best at, but even then it totally depends on the question anyway.

What would you do if you win?

Does it matter. What's the chance of them winning?

A guy the other day said he wanted to take him & his wife to LA then New York - all on £500 winnings.

Pointless could be done in 25 minutes without the chit chat.

That's why I like 15-to-1

Interviewers who ask sports competitors, some before they've recovered from their exertions, "How did you feel?"

When a show like Big Brother pulls a cheap stunt and gets ratings even if only temporary.

My ex-wife used to do that. Pop round the corner to the cafe for a tea or coffee. Used to irritate me to hell..

On 'Live' TV shows like Loose Women, Gino & Mel etc......when the camera turns to the audience - people wave at camera and smile! "Hello Mum" type of thing!

When so called Celebs are introduced on game shows without any explanation of who they are because we are all supposed to know.... Duh....

Channels going to breaks within the first 5-10 minutes. Just now, Channel 5 went to break 6 MINUTES into a programme. It's no wonder I hardly watch that channel!

IPP - In product promotion.

It's those little graphics that popup near the end of a programme, usually on the lesser channels.

I've been watching the 15-2-1 repeats on Challenge and as i'm watching a recording I don't know how long of the programme is left.
In the final round a player could be on 50 points but have a possible 200 points to get to the top of the leader board

and then pops up the IPP meaning that the programme is about to finish so now I know that this player is going to lose their lives and finish on 60 points or something.
