The fact that every programme on commercial TV seems to need a sponsor these days.

And announcers cutting into end title sequences to say what's on next or when the next episode of the show is on. We know, we've all got TV guides and EPG's, just shut the **** up!

Someone posted about contestants who shouldn't be allowed on quiz shows as they are just so stupid.

Even the not so smartest should get easy general knowledge questions.

Yesterday on a show three people didn't know that Captain Cook's first name was James

A contestant on Tipping point yesterday thought that
'an american comedy/drama that featured Kim Cattrall,
whose programme name was shortened by fans to
SITC,' was 'Friends'. Same contestant also thought 'the
dictator who ruled Italy from before WW2 to just before
the end of WW2, was Stalin! How do these idiots get on
the show in the first place? Surely they have some basic
vetting to filter out these cretins?

They have found someone as thick as Martin Mekitchen was on Saturday then.

Tv logos on the screen; there is no need for them.
And itv now has sponsors advertising every announcement etc. Ridiculous.

What annoys me even more about those is that they take them off during the adverts, which is the only time they could possibly be of any use.

On Pointless when Alexander Armstrong reads out the options twice.
I generally like the show, but it is so obviously padded out to fill the 45 minute slot.

The other thing that niggles me is that the presenters are over-polite. They often both say sorry to the contestant when they get an answer wrong!

The phrase "It's a good answer, but it's not right"
It's NOT a good answer - it's the WRONG answer !

The fact that BBC One has new episodes of Pointless Celebrities from Saturday, but we almost certainly won't be seeing new episodes of the daily show until September.

Escape To The Country

When they put a piece of film in it totally irrelevant to house hunting.

Saw one the other day . A rich couple in dorset ,went round with the presenter looking at houses. Then ,the next piece of film was the presenter going to a local farm to see their local cheese produce ...WTF has that got to do with house hunting!

Channels that have nights dedicated to a certain show but only show a certain amount on a loop...

I find Dave is the worst offender.. not only do they endlessly repeat thier programmes anyway, but if they have a QI/Not Going Out/Red Dwarf night, it'll be the same three episodes on a constant loop from about 9pm til 2am.

We recently got into Not Going Out and wanted to watch all the episodes. . We record them on series link and they only seem to show the few we've seen. The next episode on Gold is the Lesbian one. . Seen it. And one day he's got the American land lady and the next he's got the English one that can't act.

I think the idea is to show what the local area is like but, I agree, all we want to see are the houses.

When GOLD has a themed evening or weekend when they dedicate the channel to a certain programme or person and end up just showing the same old repeats they show regularly anyway.

Documentary channels with reverse cymbal effects and whizzes and banging sounds on every programme that is sensationalised to the hilt usually filled with "experts" stating the obvious, particularly on every CI, National Geographic, History Channel programme.,

I had to laugh at GOLD recently, They actually made a trailer with music and clips of OFAH saying they were showing it from the start the next week, And this trailer was show while an ep of OFAH was actually showing for the 400th time that week

Making a programme about a programme, like last night's pathetic tribute show to WDYTYA .
Cheap and nasty time filler, thanks BBC.

With all the money they make from selling the format to dozens of countries you'd think the BBC would want to make some NEW TV programmes.

I'd have to say Joe Swash and Jennie McAlpine getting on every quiz show/chat show/game show/anything really...

Its like they're having a competition among themselves to see who can get on the most TV shows...

Also I hate it when the announcers (Particularly Channel 4's) tell you what's about to happen! I was watching something a couple of days ago on E4 and the announcer at the end of the episode said something that actually didn't happen until the next episode. So basically told me what was going to happen. Totally clueless and annoying.

The "Coming up" sections on every show. Come Dine With Me is particularly guilty of this! I don't need a preview of what's happening. Also, programmes on BBC do this too despite them having NO ADVERTS!

I agree with this too. Surely what is keeping you watching is not knowing what's going to happen? So being told is really giving you no reason to watch it.
