In the EPG it lists Virtually Famous as an online panel show.
So why is it on TV? |

Yes, I really hate it when characters in American TV say 'Hey'

If you don't like the American language probably best not to watch American shows.

Dunno if its been mentioned but I hate it when I go from live tv to On Demand on Virgin Media and the music/ads start blasting out super loud. I mean incredibly loud and the difference is just stupid. Just cus your advert is really loud doesn't mean I'll take notice of it!

Probably already mentioned but the massive overuse of the novelty tilt-shift effect which makes real scenes look like a model village.
It's often never even done with the special lens but just with some areas put out of focus. |

I've been watching Pointless repeats recently and there's probably been a mention before about the scripted 'banter' with the hosts and contestants.
One that's been annoying me lately is when AA introduces Richard, Richard always says 'Hiya.......................Hi everyone'. |

I've been to a recording of Pointless and the banter is not scripted. We also saw the autocue and it said "Xander ad-libs" when speaking to the contestants.

Security in Star Trek is just sooo bad. You'd think that being on a flagship of a military arm of the Federation (which Starfleet is) would be a safe place to be. But no, anyone can just break into the engine room and point a phaser at it to cause it to explode. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom. And no such thing as CCTV on a starship, either.

Sky movies where they only have one or two films in a series.
I was browsing through the newly added section and they had X-Men and X-Men 2 listed but don't have the third in the initial series available. |

1. At the end of the national news, on the change to regional news, the national presenter says something like "and now the news where you are". Something insufferably patronising about it. "Where you are, the poor unfortunate wretches who don't live in London". Fiona Bruce and George Alaghia are the worst.
2) any documentary on any channel except bbc will, after an advert break, spend time recapping what we've seen already. In case it's been swept from our minds by the unbelievable excitement of adverts.. |

Programmes, usually documentaries, where they are hunting for something - monster croc or unseen jungle monster where they keep saying 'will they catch what they've came for' and you well know that there was never any chance whatsoever of them ever doing it.

Ok, it's bollocks!

Urgh this really really annoys me too - especially when the questions are ridiculously easy. I saw some quiz once where the young lad had never heard of Abba, and seemed to relish in his ignorance. I mean fair enough, it's not ever going to be lifesaving information, but even so.

When characters pretend to drink from obviously-empty cups. It brings me right out of the scene.
People dry swallowing pills. This might be particular to cartoons and Disney but it's annoyed me since I was a child - people putting on / taking off necklaces in about a second, when we all know it takes half an hour, seven strategically places mirrors and a whole lot of swearing before you can do it. Waffle in quiz shows. "I know it's not a because blah blah blah... it might be b because blah blah blah... I think I'll go with c." |

Why are all the newspapers outside the corner shop in EE six weeks old ? Why do people on TV buying cigarettes never mention the brand, it's always ''My usual please'' even when they've never been in the shop before. |

Another quiz show one.
On Two Tribes in the penultimate round when one team is on 4 points Richard always says. Tribe you need this point to go though. Other tribe - if you don't get this point you will be going home. or a variation on that. Why? It's obvious that if one team gets to 5 then the other team is going home. Just more pointless waffle and faux tension. |
