A dreadful, dreadful film, but Berry's body is just amazing in that suit.

Forget the children, this sounds like an excellent campaign to me!

I know the suit is the best thing about the film, a cool modern version of Catwoman outfit but the whole plot and story is awful and in no way connected to the Batman world at all. To think it all started with a potential Michelle Pfeiffer spin off and ended up at that mess.

Adverts or programmes that use stupid statistics like '9 out of 10'. Is it so hard to just say 90%?!

Then again "80% of Cats" wouldn't have the same ring to it!

Soaps and the same plots are really annoying.

The first time I can remember ITV doing that was when a character died in one of the soaps a few years ago and it was presumably to give the episode a more solemn ending. Someone at ITV must've then simply decided "that looks cool!" and they'd do it for all their shows not long afterwards.

It amounts to the same thing.. what's wrong with using what are effectively fractions?

Saturday evening television! It is getting worse despite the plethora of channels. We resorted to watching Casualty in the end!

I always think they should say "nine tenths" (or "four fifths" in the case of 8 out of 10 Cats). It's quicker to say too.

It wasn't anything to do with that. From 2000 I think it was, ITV started standardising all their end credits to allow them to promote other shows on screen - first there was the "wavy line" style with the credits down the right hand side, then the screen was all blue, then all black as it is now.

Agreed. I have a sneaking feeling it has bled through into lazy journalese from Noel-blooming-Edmonds continually blathering on about "life changing money" on DOND

It is currently Monday afternoon, and not one, but two BBC channels are currently showing the tennis. Not only that, I have pressed the red button and a further FIVE matches are showing, plus the same match on BBC1 in HD. This is on until 6pm on BBC1 and 9.30pm on BBC2. Now I know that not everyone likes the same TV programmes, but surely seven matches is overkill, no?

Basically, the people at the BBC like tennis therefore the entire country must also like tennis. Why is that not logical to you (and me).

Joking aside, like it or not, it is one of the country's major sporting events and since it is one of the few left on free-to-air, and they have a responsibility to do it well. If they only showed highlights or just one live match per day then the pay-per-view folks would be putting pressure on the powers that be to kill off the free-to-air golden seal with promises of "we can show every match from every court live why not let us do it".

Anyway, It's a perfect fortnight for catching up on stuff you've recorded and never got around to.

Ad breaks on On Demand content that aren't ad breaks. They're just break bumpers. About 15-20 seconds long.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the way Jeremy Kyle gives their contact number - "(the first part), it's (the second part)" - annoys me.

Love that sketch. Something that is annoying me at the moment is the C4 continuity announcers, they just seem far too nonchalant and relaxed if you know what I mean. One of them sounds like he's nodding off all the time. When 'Humans' first started he actually outright said 'please watch our new show we've spent a lot of money on it.' pretty sure you can't just beg us to watch like that guys, I loved it when they used to do the random Simpsons jokes though.

The noise the tennis players make in Wimbledon - yes we get it you're fantastic at the game but stop yelling AAARGGH, OOOGGGH every time you hit a ball. It's all I can hear from the guy next doors tv set (and yes it is Wimbledon as I can hearing cheering and commentators).

I've already asked him to turn it down a bit, close but no cigar.

Are you sure? Some of those movies have cheering in if there's a captive audience. The commentary not so much, but it can appear on the DVD director's cut...

I quite like those, let's me know roughly where we are in the programme! . Plus also it keeps the programme as it was originally broadcast and some breaks are part of the build up in drama programmes.
