I think people have woken up that GMB is a failure.

It seems so obvious to me what is wrong with it.

Shame really that BBC Breakfast is by the the most watched breakfast show. Quite depressing to me.

Need competition from another channel, maybe channel 4 could/should have something rather than the endless repeats of Everybody Loves Raymond and Fraiser?

Thought Piers and Susanna handled it really well this morning.

However the way Charlotte and Ranvir were tweeting, they were going to play a much larger role. I didn't see Charlotte and only saw Ranvir once? Kate and Lorraine were featured much more in my opinion

Memo to Piers Morgan: You told a Labour MP this morning your programme has ''millions of viewers.'' It doesn't, it has 600,000 on a good day. I hope your
reporting is more accurate than your self-promotion.

Any news for Brexit Day ( Friday 24th)

I assume there would be an even greater gulf than normal between Breakfast and GMB?

I wonder if those figures mean David Dimbleby will do the next general election for the BBC as Huw Edwards seems to have been rather side-lined.

No he said millions would SEE (through FB, Twitter, tabloids) he didn't say millions were watching. At least know for sure what was said before going on one of your silly little rants.

If there's a general election this year I expect it will be Dimbleby overnight and Edwards during the day like last year.

Well the usual 600K is just the average is it not? So it's quite likely that between 6am and 8.30, there would be millions watching GMB...

Doesn't it peak over a million after 8 anyway?

Good Mo Brit has Suasanna Reid.
None of the other channels do.

And that article also claims a 1.2million average audience for the Friday referendum show. The ratings thread on here says 665k. Which figure is correct?

I have never known Cylon6 ratings numbers to be wrong where as in most interviews about GMB they nearly always spin that the ratings are rising. Perhaps that 1.2m was a consolidated number which included an unusually high number of downloads as well? GMB probably isn't a show which is normally downloaded much but because it was a special day it may have got lots of views from people coming home from work etc???? Alternatively the number in Reid's interview could just be bullshit. To be fair it isn't just GMB and their presenters that spin about ratings l think most struggling shows do it.

Kate and Ben are doing really well this morning reporting on the breaking news from Dallas.

Yes they did until the end of the show, when for some reason they took a phone call at 8.28, then that was quickly shut down with no apologies, to us showing, Lorianne Kelly dancing in Spice Girl mode.

Pre-recorded Lorraine cutting off Ben and Kate was atrocious this morning. Five police officers killed suddenly cuts to Lorraine and her croanies dancing to the Spice Girls. Appalling decision not to carry on with GMB.

Totally agree with you, it was very distasteful I guess with the programme being a recorded episode, they couldn't cut i, but I think it was not a shock, that after the police shot the black guy yesterday, there was likely to be an attack of some sort.

BBC breakfast was no better in fact possibly worse, prattling on about Wimbledon, some pop group interview, hardly any coverage from Dallas.Im aware Victoria live is now covering it,but poor decisions made on breakfast.

Funny given the Lorraine Kelly thread that just started here a couple of days ago - she's obviously that important, for some reason, that even the unfolding events of a nation in uproar have to be shut down so we get to see her dancing to Spice Girls songs and introducing Christopher Biggins...

And exactly the same on the BBC!

There was a lot of coverage on the BBC from Dallas 6-7 a.m., I didn't watch after that so can't comment.I must admit Steph McGovern is not the best presenter to have in a fast-changing situation and she seemed to adopt a strange ''posh'' voice.
