I listened to all those, good mix of genres. Thought the best one was Jenni Forbes but I think they've been making better music in the last few years. A few examples;

Tame Impala

Miami Horror

Scenic (Future Classic are one of my favourite labels)

I think Midnight Oil are by far the most distinctive and original from the first list by the OP.
The second list includes a Coldplay influenced band and a couple of generic pop dance tunes but the first song has a touch of originality about it. It could be read as influenced by some 90s alt but still likeable.

INXS were the best Aussie 80s/90s band, real world beaters 'Need you Tonight'
