Design an Album...
In music today, there are probably more dance producers that release material than popular artists (David Guetta, Calvin Harris - arguably, DJ Fresh, Rudimental, Naughty Boy, Disclosure etc.) So, if you were one of these artists, who would you want your album to feature?
Deluxe tracks? Which artists would you feature - would you go for unknown or superstars? Which style would you go for? And what orders would the singles be?

Paradisio by Blue Kaleidoscope[/center]
The album will be based on the search for paradise/perfection during someone's teen ears. I've picked certain artists due to their vocal skil (Lulu James), and some due to their lyrical skills/themes (Cherub/Natalia Kills), but they all fit the concept. 1. Mistake ft. Natalia Kills Based on the concept of her latest album 'Trouble' the lyrics would talk about her knowing she's a mistake, but then sampling the lyric from the title track "I'm the best mistake you'll ever make". It would sound like an 80's throwback - almost like this remix of the song being sampled. 2. Night Cloud ft. Lulu James "And the dark rolls in like a Night Cloud, and my perfections they drift away" will be the main lyric. The music will continue with her 90's themed style, but with Sia inspired vocals. 3. Drunken Nights ft. Cherub The song will be based off of adolescent drunken-ness. It will be much like their song "Doses and Mimosas" and will mention things about sneaking out in the morning, much like teen parties. 4. B*tch ft. Chloe Howl The song's theme will be all about not fitting into any particular clique so she decides to be a bitch. It will sound again, very 90's esque. 5. Ecstatic Mornings ft. Tove Lo The song is much like the theme of "Stay High" and will talk about how she can't get through the day so she has an ecstatic morning. The instrumental will be very similar to Stay High - a kind of chillstep vibe. 6. Sneakin' Out ft. V V Brown The lyrics would feature around a love hidden from her parents - "I'm sneakin' out my window just to keep our love". The instrumental would be very laid back and much like the Tove Lo song 7. Giving Up ft. Angel Haze & Kyla La Grange The lyrics theme around not being bothered by people anymore - "You can do what you want, I really don't give a f***, you can say what you feel, I'm just giving up". The beat on this will be more synthy during the rap and piano-laden during the chorus. 8. Hearts Beat ft. Charli XCX The lyrics theme is "I can hear your hearts beat when you hold me close". It's basically a really lovey song, growing on from the sound she emulated from her first album. 9. In The Sun ft. HAIM "And I feel like I'm care free, all the pain lifts off of me, and I'm never going home, I'm living in the sun" The album will use the rock elements off of their debut album. 10. Rock Bottom ft. The Vamps. I know they're not the most popular on here but I adore Brad's voice - like a more youthful Bruno Mars, so I decided a song about never hitting rock bottom, with the band element being used to create a 00's punky throwback song 11. Queen Bee ft. LIZ The song will finish the album, and because I love Liz's 90's soulful falsetto, I wanted her to feature. The lyrics would be about everyone wanting to be queen bee, and will say that they'll "get out their t*ts to be noticed". The beats will be funky like in her song "Stop Me Cold" So there's mine. A coming of age album featuring lesser known artists to soundtrack a teenager's life. SINGLES: 1) Hearts Beat 2) Drunken Nights 3) Ecstatic Mornings 4) Rock Bottom |

My name would be Ollypop and my album would be called Sherbet Hills.
Sherbet Hills is a place where all the insecurities of society are turned around and made as if it's cool when clearly it's not. Here is the tracklist: 1. Sherbet Hills - The title track which has a swingy vibe with saxophones and a big band. Sets the mood for the entire album. https://soundcloud.com/ollypop/sherbet-hills-ft-amie 2. You're A Slut You Know - Based around the Pink song 'Slut Like You' and it is about how people sleep around and don't care about the destruction they leave behind. 3. Broke - The only moody song on the album and it's a reflection on how people nowadays are broke due to expensive taste. 4. Dead Love - Sounds a bit extreme but the whole album is supposed to show how f***** up society is right now. As the title says (roughly) it is how your loved one has died and you can't get over it so you become a necrophiliac. 5. Hung - About the sexualisation in music today. Parody of Blurred Lines (a bit) 6. Retro Hooker - About people wanting to be in the past even though they weren't born in that era. 7. Harpoon - Another representation of the sexualisation involved in the music industry today. 8. Hoodlum ft Nicki Minaj, Jay Z and Eminem - Rap song (obviously) based on tough upbringings. 9. I Need Ya - About loving someone who you aren't in a relationship with but you can't live without them. 10. Superficial - About people putting up a front to impress others but people see through the facade and instantly hate the person 11. 180 Minutes - About rumour going around how this girl had sex with this boy for 3 HOURS! Not even joking, there is actually a rumour going around in my college that this actually happened. 12. Marley - How drugs are influencing the media and how people take them, knowing the damage that it causes. 13. No-one - Ballad describing how people feel left out from things, personal reflection on teenage years. 14. Cosmic Love - Another drug influenced song describing how your love is so universal that you are addicted. Psychedelic guitars by Richard Hawley. 15. This Part Right Here - Dance track which brings the album to a satisfying closure. Supposed to represent how music has evolved from swing music to dance. Singles 1. Sherbet Hills 2. 180 Minutes 3. Broke 4. No-one 5. This Part Right Here Campaign would start with the Sugar Sweet EP: 1. Sherbet Hills 2. These Bitches ft Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus - Reflecting modern music and the representation of females. 3. Suburban Dreams - Tough upbringings. Samples the style of Lorde 4. Truth - About the lies told through relationships and friendships. 5. Sugar Sweet - Fun song about my 'sugar sweet baby' - sugar coated love 6. ATTENTION - Dance track, bringing the attention towards the upcoming album. https://soundcloud.com/ollypop/attention So there you go, hope you read it all but if you skim it doesn't matter cos i do the same to really long posts. PS I would have different producers representing how current they are to that day. |

Heaven High by Blue Kaleidoscope The album would continue on the theme of the last album, but would be a double album with two discs. The first discs would be about how perfect her life is, but in the mocking tone of Marina and The Diamonds' Electra Heart album, whereas the latter half would be more cynical and pessimistic like Lana Del Rey's Born To Die. DISC ONE: Illusion 1. Superwoman ft. Moko "Everyone looks up to me, because I'm their superwoman, nobody is as popular as me" the lyrics would be complimented by soaring vocals over a 90's beat much like Moko's own song: "Freeze"2. Not an Angel ft. Joel Compass "She's not an angel, she knows how to get around. They treat her like angel because she gets down". There will be R&B beats, reminiscent of TLC's "No Scrubs". 3. Perfections ft. G.R.L I've decided to go for bubblegum-pop group G.R.L for this track as I feel they appeal to a more pop audience. The lyrical theme's basically saying how they love their boyfriend's imperfections, and the music is made up of 70's funk like DJ Cassidy or Daft Punk. 4. Adore ft. Marina and The Diamonds [i]"Everyone adores me, self appointed Queen Bee, but I can get dirty, watch me if you want". It's almost like a part 2 of "Primadonna". The instrumental will focus on the beats and swirly pop that she showcased. 5. Lonely Days ft. AlunaGeorge The song samples Etta James' classic hit "At Last" and will feature heavily the line "My lonely days are over", with George's stomping 90's house beats. Disc Two: Reality 1. Back Seat Loving ft. Jessie Ware "And I heard she was back seat loving, and she was popping gum when he was c*min'" (rude I know ) the song centres on a rumour of a girl losing her virginity in the back of someone's Mercedes. The music will again be soft 90's house much like "Imagine It Was Us"2. Leave! ft. Solange "And I told him to leave" Solange belts over a chillstep background - much like "Waves" by Mr. Probz. 3. No Love ft. Neon Hitch "There's no love in my heart, you wrecked me from the start. I go with my heart over my head, rip off my clothes and get in my bed". This is probably the raciest track along with Ware's. Hitch's sharp twang will speak about never being taught to love so she sleeps around instead. The instrumental will be of strings and will build up to a climax where it turns into a piano. 4. Sentimental Suicide ft. Lauren Aquilina "If I died would anyone even care, if I committed suicide would they notice I'm not there". The song basically says what she'd do after death. It says about how she'd watch over her Mother, and her baby sister etc. 5. In Real Life ft. Jade Alston It will be a reggae infused track which will say how she longs to live in the movies but in real life her man never even talks to her. SINGLES 1. Back Seat Loving (UK Peak: #11) 2. Adore (UK Peak: #2) 3. Not An Angel (UK Peak: #4) 4. In Real Life (UK Peak: #8) **SPECIAL PLATINUM ALBUM EDITION** The two discs will be put onto one, and the second disc will feature new tracks/remixes. Some will simply be another artist, some remixes, and some new tracks. 1. Back Seat Loving ft. Jessie Ware (Disclosure Remix) 2. Not An Angel ft. Joel Compass (Country Club Martini Club Remix) 3. Adore ft. Marina and The Diamonds (Cherry Cherry Boom Boom Vintage Throwback Remix) 4. In Real Life ft. Jade Alston (Betablock3r Remix) 5. Back Seat Loving ft. Jessie Ware & Miguel The song will turn into a duet. 6. Behind Closed Doors ft. Natalia Kills Due to her song on the last album receiving such praise, she features again, this time on another 80's track. It will feature heavy guitar riffs and talk about how behind closed doors she hates everybody. 7. Rumble (Blue Kaleidoscope vs. Kelis) A remix of Kelis' latest song. 8. I Surrender ft. Katy B Similar to her "Still" track, it will talk about how she gives up on her love with her partner. 9. We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off (Ella Eyre vs. Blue Kaleidoscope) 10. Blow Me Away (Beldina vs. Blue Kaleidoscope) SINGLES 5. Behind Closed Doors (UK Peak: #1) 6. Rumble (UK Peak: #27) 7. I Surrender (UK Peak: #7) |

Lose No Face by Steel Clouds
1. Intro,Outro ft. Hurts & Birdy A moody chug-along which questions loosely what the point is of being born only to be taken away again and basically opens with a nice bit of misery - Dark but subtle synths and mellow violins2. Not Again ft. Alex Clare Alex is sick of making the same mistakes in his life and relationships, but he just cant help it - Trip Hop3. Sing Me A Swan Song ft. Charli XCX & Professor Green Charli is probably a bit suicidal and hers and Pro's relationship is on it's last legs too. - Synthy ballad 4. Control Myself ft. Plan B (singing) Basically you dont want to make Ben angry. He wont be responsible for his actions. - Synthetic drums and gloom/angst 5. If You Ever Learn ft. Katy B Katy is really rolling her eyes right now. Her boyfriend just isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he's oh-so loveable. - Dark and subtle congo sounds 6. You Belong To Me ft. Rob Swire Rob is a possessive boyfriend. Why does his lady flirt with other people when she knows how enraged he'll become? - Angry yet melodic electro sounds 7. In A Wasteland ft. Dido & Jessie Ware Basically friends Dido and Jessie aren't too chuffed with how life is progressing. - Less is more, bubbling synths and barely-there drums 8. Limbo ft. Ed Drewett & Sub Focus Just when Ed thinks he's on the up, it always comes crashing down. - Rough around the edges with bass and melody 9. Forgetful Girls ft. Calvin Harris (vocals) & John Newman (backing vocals) Basically, Calvins woman becomes a whore when she's drunk and will hump anything with a spare stump or two. - House track with depth 10. Wake Up ft. Neon Jungle & Lily Allen Jungle and Lily are well skint but they just dont care. It's party time! - Colourful but rugged electro hip hop beat11. Maybe Tomorrow ft. Charlie Brown Charlie wonders when he'll find the strength to change his life and stop this damn wallowing. - Sad guitar and subtle electronics on this sad slow jam 12. Concrete ft. Wiley & London Grammar This is Wiley and London's patch. Listen to their story of how it's not all so bad. - An odd mix of grime and trip hop set the backdrop 13. Nothing To Lose ft. The Twang The Twang are very upbeat about starting way down here at the bottom. Probably because they're intoxicated, but still... - Moody guitar and synths set the tone to the delusion 14. Lights Go Out ft. Darren Styles (vocals) Monotony kicks back in for Daz after a night of clubbing and probably a failure to pull. No one really understands him. - Trance tones here, with some emotive keys thrown in 15. In Dreams ft. Ellie Goulding Ellie dreams about her former lover. It could have been so different. - Electro ballad that bubbles to the point of taking off into something faster, but it doesnt 16. Give It Up ft. Amy Lee & John Martin Self-doubt kicks in as your demons tell you to stick to what you know. You're just not good enough for anything else. - Dark keys and subtle guitar accompany Amy as she tries to drag John overboard. How dare he think of accomplishing anything in life! ![]() 17. Fall Into The Fire ft. James Morrison James simply wont be dragged down by those around him who only care about drugs, drink and women. He looks to the future. - Guitar and controlled synths burst into a symphony as James realises he's meant for something more. All about tribulations and being stuck somewhere, and the struggle to overcome. SINGLES Concrete Control Myself Wake Up (Angel Haze remix) Forgetful Girls In Dreams Nothing To Lose (Remix with Plan B {rapping}) |

Gorls on Fiyah - DJ Mak-attak and friends
This would just be a five-track EP to build anticipation for the full release out later in the year. Snatchin' Wigs ft. Nicki Minaj This would mash a bubbling electro-pop verse with a hard-hitting Nicki-driven chorus where she raps and rants about all the wigs she has snatched through the course of her career. Highlight would be the line about scalding "Queen Mariah's head on Idol" Lemme Perch ft. Adele This would show a new cheeky side to Adele where she gloats about her colossal sales and leading status as best selling female among her peers. It would feature a heavy drum n bass beat with an ear-worm of a chorus where Adele sings "lemme perch, lemme perch up here, lemme perch, watchin' your fave flop, oh dear" Help a Sis ft. Christina Aguilera Basically a very minimalistic, experimental song with sparse production where Christina belts out "Help me", "S.O.S" and "Rise up Lotus..RISE!" in various tones as the song slowly builds to an ear-shattering climax. Stan Warz ft. Rihanna and Beyonce A playful, futuristic cut that sees Rihanna mock the Beehives while Beyonce goes hard at the Navy over stomping electronic beats. Let 'em Seethe ft. Lana Del Rey A strong, hip-hop influenced beat mixed with Lana's trademark strings. On this tune, Lana disses the haters who tried to derail her career. SINGLES; Lemme Perch (because it's Adele) |
