Eww, the grey bar with the shutter button takes up far too much room!

the new GUI for the camera app is a but ugly with the huge wasted space with the capture button. HDR+ doesn't seem to be persistent any more, you have to keep turning it on as it defaults to off every time to close and re-open the app. |

it's because the camera takes 4:3 photos. the last one took 4:3 photos but for some reason the viewfinder was 16:9. meaning you had to guess where the edge was. |

if you mean manual exposure then there is setting for it that you have to turn on.

HDR+ doesn't seem to be persistent any more, you have to keep turning it on as it defaults to off every time to close and re-open the app. no white balance is not that. typically you would set it for incandescent light, sun light, fluorescent light etc so that things that look white to you come out white. it's normally set to auto and goes on in the back ground. it's how you prevent your white having a colour bias. in respect of the camera button taking up too much room. come on. it's so that the preview has the same aspect ratio as the camera. |

Installed and tried it on my Nexus 4 yesterday, took a couple of very mediocre test shots, tried to delete them and the app promptly crashed causing the phone to restart.
I'll stick with Camera FX! |
