I'm getting repetitive, again, ha, but thought Capaldi was flipping magnificent tonight.

Amen to that, brother.

The Doctor hadn't beaten so many dangerous foes by being a comedy turn. He's done it by being and impressive adversary. That means, to his enemies he is a menacing adversary. At last we have a Doctor who you feel does scare and can be equally dangerous.

At last we are getting episodes where you are made to feel apprehensive rather than sitting down to merely jolly entertainment.

Amazing. Capaldi has always been an amazing actor in my book and he's more than ever tonight proven himself an amazing Doctor. Think he's my new favourite and I *never* just land on the current one like some do!

He's so good. He has such a presence about him, he just feels like the 'leader' that the Doctor should be.

I agree. He really needs to keep this look.

No doubt about it. Capaldi is about as good a Doctor as you can get. Wonderful.

I've not posted in this thread enough, because Capaldi has been utterly brilliant this series. I mean, I enjoyed him massively in Series 8, and was apprehensive with how sudden a change his personality seemed to get at the start of this series, but it's levelled out. And it's superb!

Between his subtle role alongside Jenna Coleman in Face the Raven, his stunning anti-war speech in The Zygon Inversion, his encounter with Davros in The Witch's Familiar, his owning of everything in Heaven Sent and god knows how many other great moments he's had...I don't know if I can choose a best moment from him. He's utterly wonderful!

Peter Capaldi had me mesmerised for the full fifty minutes. One of the best acting performances I've ever seen.

The Capaldi was beyond magnificent last night. An utterly superb performance. Can't quite find fitting words because, like Moffat, I cannot write.

Capaldi certainty gave us an acting masterclass last night. Really hope someone gives him a BAFTA.

Capaldi has excelled in the role and I am really enjoying his portrayal of the Doctor. Hopefully he will stay or a few more series' yet! With Clara out of the way, I fully expect him to be even better!

BIB- Really hoping that too. How long do they usually stay for? I have a feeling that he's just got into the swing of things this time, and have finally settled down to get "the doctor" he wants...

Going by NuWho and not including Eccleston as he only stayed for s1, both Smith and Tennant stayed for three series' plus Tennant did a year of specials. Hopefully this means we can get another couples of series with Capaldi yet.

Hoping even if Moffat does leave after 10, they let PC stay on another year, be a shame if he didnt have the option of leaving when HE wanted, like the other actors in nuwho

Capaldi as the Doctor, in a hospital. Y'know I don't hold it against Eccleston for not being involved with the show any further - all the power to him - but I do somehow feel that my current 'favourite Doctor' conflict may be won over by the fact that Capaldi just has an infectious passion for the role. He's a class act on and off screen, the show benefits greatly from him - and he just has this capability of making things seem awesome all the time!

I read about this..nobody imo has gone above and beyond in this role like he has.

Too bad he got some nasty remarks about kids they claim "were not all that excited" to see him at DW expercience and "MS or DT would have gotten a better reaction" stuff , it was an amazing thing to do.

I always like to counter those comments by pointing out that when I went to the experience this summer, it might have only been the interactive on-screen segments but he got cheers from the kids at that point and there was so much love for him. When I went to the Symphonic Spectacular at Wembley, there were just as many Capaldi cosplaying kids as there were Smith ones (I saw few Tennant ones as kids... which was a rarity, but the event wasn't very kid-heavy I guess), my younger sister thinks the absolute world of him, he's reignited interest from many of my friends in the show once more, and if I confess myself to be a bit of a big kid seeing him at the spectacular would be amazing! He showed up in the audience at the Symphonic Spectacular, and it just made the event even better simply by knowing his awesomeness was in the room!

He's an amazing actor, and embraces the role in a way few actors seem to. As someone who was apprehensive for a bit before seeing him in the role, I can't help but think how lucky we are... but then I love the guy, so I would say all this
