Like said I said, younger and cuter gets the fan awards on this show. |

Shame with everything this guy does for fans he never gets a NTA nom.
Perhaps if he was younger and cuter. Quote:
Thats what bugged me. Tennant got his arse kissed like no end then Matt Smith came along and I dont recall him winning one.
Also, quite fed up of those who don't think Tennant deserves his overwhelming popularity just trying to diminish it by pretending it's all just fangirls. Tennant was popular because he was a great doctor and RTD wrote some great series for him. I'm a straight male, and think he's great for nothing more than his amazng acting, and I'm sure their are many others who feel the same. If he were only popular with fangirls and no-one else, that would still be a small proportion of the overall viewing audience, so he still wouldn't seem that popular overall, which is why that petty arguement is nonsense. I think Capaldi would be recognised for his acting too, if the scripts appealed to the mainstream more, like RTD's did, but series 8 was a bit shaky (although an improvement on series 7), and whilst I liked series 9, it was a bit bleak and probably far too inward facing for many casual viewers. |

You can't effectively try and tell off or complain about who was the most mainstream popular. Capaldi is great in the role, and I'd agree that it would be deserving for him to get some recognition for it, but effectively slagging off another doctor actor, just because you don't like the fact that they were more popular than you think they should be seems rather mean and a bit childish.

I also LOVED Christopher I think I prefer him a little more to Tennant , I also loved Series 5 Smith but I think thats because he retained the formula RTD used in his era in that Series. Capaldi rewatching Series 8 hes an Ok Doctor not shabby, love him to bits though, unconditionally, once you come into The Doctor's world theres no going back. But storywise I would put 8/9 above Series 7 but apart from that I have quite low ratings of it |

Nice stuff from Rachel. BAFTA nominations are certainly hard to come by for so called 'niche' or 'genre' TV but you never know. A nomination a la Smith would be nice, but am not holding my breath. Think Peter deserves one, though, although am obviously a tad biased as a Who fan... |

Most of the people who vote for the NTAs wouldve been dribbling into their TV dinners and showing facial expressions akin to a monkey thats just been handed a rubiks cube within the first 3 minutes of Heaven Sent.
Ouch, I am one of the people who vote in NTA.Though to be honest I do tend to skip most of the categories since the vast majority of the nominations are...Well, shite (especially the whole God awful Towie and Loose Women etc. malarky ewwwwwwwww)!Quote:
I dont give a damn about those awards and what those people think.

sad to see all these endless articles about the media guessing his replacement and or people who want to be his replacement..... noooo new companion talk at all for HIS era
They have not even announced hes leaving, and they got actors saying they want to be the next doctor. I bet PC is geting that unwelcoming feeling again he talked about lol |

https://www.instagram.com/p/BMoCNFThbwJ/ ![]() ![]() In all seriousness though, his positioning in relation to the TARDIS doors and his welcoming stance, seems to me to suggest that this is the 'Doctor officially welcomes/asks Bill to travel in time and space with him' scene. P.s anyone else notice in that picture that the console room appears to be full of boxes?. It seems even a TARDIS with infinite dimensions isn't enough storage space for a hoarder like the Doctor. ![]()
