Deadline for today's race is 9am

The second half of Belgium’s first Cobbled Classics weekend sees the sprinters edge to the fore to target Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne.


The event will make its second attempt at holding a 66th edition after the 2013 race fell victim to harsh winter conditions and was cancelled on safety grounds.
Team Sky have enjoyed plenty of success in Kuurne, taking home two of the famous plush donkeys given out on the podium following wins from Chris Sutton (2011) and then-world champion Mark Cavendish (2012).
The event is not short on famous climbs, with an extra berg for 2014 bringing the categorised total up to nine, and serving to put more pressure on the teams with sprinters.
The race starts and finishes in Kuurne, but contrary to its name does not actually pass through the Belgian capital of Brussels at any point.
After the start, the peloton will head east to Ninove but before it reaches Brussels, turns south and heads back towards to the west of the country, taking in a number of key climbs along the way.
It is here the fast men and their teams will face their toughest test as they bid to keep the race together in the face of short, sharp climbs and a barrage of attacks.
The Kruisberg (climbed for the second time in 24 hours), Oude Kwaremont and Tiegemberg all feature in the race, peppering a route heavily back-loaded with ascents. The addition of the Holstraat ahead of the Nokereberg finale will only serve to intensify the run-in.
The Nokereberg itself - the last of the 'hellingen' - lies just over 50km from the finish with the final battle then set to take place on the 16km loop around Kuurne that marks the end of the race.
