First was hopeful that Arlie would stay. I assume Adel joined the other side and they trust him more.
Then the HoH (another cheap memory one), and Allison so damn close. And it ends on those stupid random tiebreaker answers that are just guesses, always thought they are so stupid.

These 50/50 competitions are very popular for producers on these kind of shows (cheapness no doubt), but some luck is definitely needed to win, as guesses always play a part.
It was good to see the Sloppy Seconds recover from possibly losing alot of momentum in the game. It wasn't really their fault as the secret veto screwed them over but it did kind of teach them a lesson for over-playing.
I guess balance had to be restored, since the Canada HOH twist benefitted the Sloppy Seconds, this secret veto naturally had to screw them over. But while Canada's HOH caused the downfall of the First 5, the Sloppy Seconds managed to wriggle out of this twist and got the result they wanted anyway. Quite impressive.

Neda is very controlling so hopefully she will go next week, I don't see her being open to playing the game beyond the comfy position she is in. Otherwise they'll have to have a major twist like bringing someone back like last year when Emmit and Jillian were having it easy.

I was more talking about the balance of productions twists and which side they favoured, rather than the actual battle between the cliques.
Plus Neda was the one pushing for Arlie to go in the first place which kind of felt too early and too dangerous, so I don't think she's taking advantage of any comfy position. She's in a good position that she's made for herself but she almost pushed it a bit too far last week in getting Jon to put up Arlie. It felt somewhat unnecessary but they still somehow managed to pull it off, despite the odds turning against them.
With duds like Rachelle and Allison still in I don't think losing Neda would be so great. She's proven she has the balls to play bold moves and there's no guarantee of what's going to happen next or even if she's planning to take Jon to the end.
Emmett and Jillian 'having it easy' makes it sound like they didn't have to work hard winning those HOHs and forming tight bonds with Andrew and Talla to guarantee their places there.

I would agree with you, however. Production are most likely terrified that Sabrina / Rachelle could win and be F2. BB Can would be humiliated at this result. It shows to me as this week instead off endurance they just did a Q&A HoH. Obviously wanted to give Heather / Neda more of a chance.

They haven't been that secure, really, have they? Jon and Heather have been targets since the beginning (and still are) and they've had to win every competition to stay safe since Canada's HoH.
Heather set herself up quite nicely shielding herself behind a couple, but Jon/Neda in particular have been the #1 target for the other side of the house since Canada's HoH.
They would've been doomed had they not won every single HoH - and it was excellent game play by them to manage to get Arlie evicted last night (although, Arlie's also to blame there for revealing so much about his game after he was put on the block - it scared the girls).
Did they get Arlie evicted, why would the others just follow what they say? I just heard on the live stream that Arlie said something that turned the house against him, no idea of the precise details, and obviously nothing shown in the HLs. It made little sense with what was shown.

Allison just comes across very wishy-washy. I feel like she's kind of treating it like the BBUK format and not the BBCanada format, relying on her emotions and not doing much thinking.
I thought last year was actually quite good in terms of gameplay, you could accuse Talla of not doing much but she at least got herself in the controlling alliance. There was Alec and Peter at least trying to play the game, Andrew was quite smart, Gary had a good combination of personality and gameplay, Topaz could be quite strategic but was rather an unpredictable character. The only problem was that Emmett and Jillian played too well and won those HOHs, pretty much not letting anyone else get a look-in. The combination of good characters and gameplay is what made it so successful I think.
To defend Jillian a bit, even though she was the one doing the dirty work, Emmett was always the bigger threat and would always have gone first if they were ever on the block together. Sure enough that's what happened.
And it's not much of an excuse, but since her and Emmett were forming what was a strong relationship maybe in the end it didn't matter to her who won and who came second. They'd both get the money, and if they were the final 2 they'd get both 1st and 2nd place prizes.
She did get lucky in the end, but I feel like she was rightly rewarded for being the bravest player of the season.
I didn't think there were that many good characters last season, this season has been better even though some early ones were one note like Paul and Anick.

The two groups in there, gremlins and Sloppy Three, are pretty much set and so in a way the least interesting now, no movement is likely there as there hasn't been for ages.
