We pay our license fees to watch compilations like this instead of commercials, folks.

Really want The Netherlands to win! (But I did like Armenia's)

A bit too obvious a result for my liking.

Yeah, its arguably a decent song but its a complete gimmick. Graham says its remarkable but it isn't. Its just like Lordi a few years ago who won because they were the only ever entry from Middle Earth!

This is definitely one of the worst Eurovisions I've ever sat through !

Whilst she never had any chance of winning whatsoever, Molly's song was certainly not one of the four worst on the night. Utter nonsense voting + below par songs / performances = three hours of my life I won't get back.

Spain and Ireland gave us 17 more points between them. The UK still on right but fourth from top.

Hoping the Netherlands trump Austria Beard but I'm not sure.

The Austria Beard Lady has officially won Eurovision 2014. Sad times haha!

One thing I am enjoying right now is the host's feeble attempts to try and hurry things along.

Overrunning big time !

Announcing the winner with 3 countries still to vote is a new one on me. Good way to kill the suspense.

You mean learn not to bother at all.

Feel bad but I just imagine Rylan Clark wearing a wig and dress with this Austrian winner.

Well, that was predictable regarding the winner. And to all the Eurovision defenders saying the voting is not biased, tonight proves for once and all how biased the voting was. The UKs performance wasnt great but wasnt bottom 10 worthy. It must be absolutely deflating for the hardcore Eurovision fans seeing the UK do so badly every year even when a good song is sent. I expect the rating will be lower than last year's due to all the factors which went against this year's contest. The whole show is a farce. If it wasnt for the high ratings and cheap as chips rights cost, I doubt the BBC would be showing it.

You could be right. It's such meaningless nonsense, and yet the voting process never fails to madden me, which is completely irrational I know !

So what happened to all that "we will get votes if we send a decent song" . According to many we did and we still didnt get any votes.

Psuedo polilictal claptrap. How many 12 points did Russia get from its acolytes?

People like Eurovision because it's camp as Christmas and it's Eurovision, not because of who wins.

Wheres all the people who kept saying for the last week that the UK would do well? Bottom 10 place in the end for Molly. A dire result really given the expectations.

It will affect the ratings too. Because uk viewers wouldve seen we were hardly picking up votes, the audience wont have built to a big peak by the end compared to if she was picking up a lot of votes.

Far too many.

I couldn't even enjoy the boos because the 17 year old girls they sent to represent them looked crestfallen, the bastards.

There will have be a lot of interest in seeing if Conchita would win though, I reckon. Everyone I know was watching it, but maybe it's the circles I move in.

I'm very happy with my 7.3m prediction and sticking with it on the RPG.

If anything I'm worried it could be on the high side.

...............that's our entry for next year sorted out.

Seriously though, tonight was a gimmicky image competition. The song wasn't bad, but was rather irrelevant?

May as well send a dog to represent us at Eurovision next year. Probably will do better than our standings of recent years due to the novelty value.

So happy for Conchita. It's a massive f**k off to Russia.

Re Molly and Samuel's gloating that we did badly (please stop its nauseating) I'm genuinely shocked at the result. I think its because I've listened to the song endlessly for months and months that I was convinced we'd do well. Yes its political now due to Russia getting all those points (evil Putin I really hate you) BUT it can't all be political due to Conchita winning. Fair dos there was the gimmick there but Austria's song stood out and Molly's got lost amongst all the other songs.

Still it's been a great night and I'm gonna predict a 9.5-10m peak.
