If EastEnders is on BBC2 I think that is very unwise for the programme and could hurt any momentum it builds up.

Guess so. Cue the usual rant from me - would losing 6 episodes really be a bad thing. It saves them money, doesn't split the audience and doesn't encourage EE fans to miss EE, fans who then don't return. Even during the World Cup if they dropped rather than rescheduled episodes they'd only have to lose 3.

Are ITV seriously calling a programme The Secret Life Of Cats after an Horizon special had virtually the sane title? SERIOUSLY?

I think for those weeks over on BBC2 they should have 2 episodes a week. Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 and use the missing Monday and Friday episodes in big weeks.
No doubt DTC will have something Massive happening for when it moves back to BBC1.

I am talking about the daytime and after BGT, They could offer a Wallace and Gromit just before BGT started.

I've just seen that - it'd be funny if it wasn't so bad. I guess the gap between Britain's Got Talent and the World Cup is quite minimal but surely they have a two parter which could prop up the schedule.

Coronation Street's fifth episode of 'BGT week' is seemingly airing at 9pm on the Sunday between The Lord of the Dance Returns and Quantum of Solace.

Moving it to BBC Two for a fortnight would do a lot of damage. The BBC seems to have made quite a few damaging decisions for EastEnders since Cohen became BBC One Controller, and subsequently got kicked upstairs.

I do agree which is why I think they should show minimum episodes as possible.

We all know. BBC1 will be hit for six all next week, the BBC controllers know that they have Eastenders and continuing drama and consumer shows hopefully holding up, Happy Valley hopefully will not loose too much, but next week is BGT week, it will win, starting any new show next week is wasting it.

It was always going to be a problem for BBC as we expected wall to wall coverage but like most others I dont lie the solution. Going to be very interesting ratings when all this happens.

I think there is a chance the games will switch to two when EE is on but EE could be moved around a bit.

Hopefully, A.D.P will be right, and EastEnders will stay on BBC One. Trouble is, I fear Cohen is hoping for a London 2012-style ratings and ego boost from wall-to-wall Commonwealth Games on BBC One.

He'll be in for a disappointment, though, as for every two people who loved the Olympics, there'll be one who doesn't give a shot put about the Commonwealths.

I'm with you on this one. No good will come from a move to BBC2. Better to reduce the number of episodes on BBC1 during the period and see if there's anyway the Commonwealth Games can be used to boost the EastEnders audience.

No this is the little known story of MI6 training cats to spy on foreign embassies.

What seemed like a good idea was unsuccessful due to these embassies having nice cosy warm spots to curl up in and kip. I think this is a worthy hard hitting documentary, as we need answers to this waste of tax payers money.

I wonder how big the Commonwealth Games will be. It obvious they are hoping to relive London 2012 with this extensive coverage, using Mishal Hussain again etc. I don't recall Manchester 2002 getting such wall to wall coverage on BBC1.

Shame they aren't using Sue Barker in the coverage. It was a shame she was only on about 5 mins a day during the Olympics.

With World Cup and the Games back to back and a chance of Wimbledon late nights they need to protect EE it's doing well you do not need to unravel it. CW is not so big as Olympics or London 2012, so moving the games to BBC2 when EE is on it's not really an issue. They keep the News on One as they have to. I can see EE adjusted around the Games schedule so maybe some hour long ones on fewer days.

I agree. I watched nearly all of the Olympics when I got the chance. I will most likely only watch the Opening and closing of the 'Glasgow Games'

The Commonwealth Games won't be like the Olympics if it doesn't have 24 temp channels on Sky, Freesat and Virgin. At best it will be online. I think they even using BBC3 again for the Commonwealth.

Coronation St will be easy to find in the week commencing 31st May: it's on at 7pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9pm.

Operation Dent-EastEnders continues with two Emmerdale episodes joined together as one on the Tuesday.

The BBC might hit back and put EastEnders at 8:00pm on Tuesday.

The BBC can get ITV where it hurts them and place strictly at 7:30pm trying to dent X factor from recovering .

Thing is Emmerdale is rating pretty badly atm and running it against EastEnders is only going to do more damage for it's self.

The Commonwealth Games are nowhere near as big as The Olympics. They can get decent ratings ad they're in Britain but not as big as The Olympics.

Sue Barker is a great presenter, shame she isn't doing The Commonwealth Games.

The BBC has already moved Strictly later which in turn has hurt The X Factor so I don't think ITV will be overly surprised if that happens.

The BBC will not push it too far with Strictly, no Bruce effect is an unknown it may do better it may not, a lot is on the team of celebrities this year, then there is Simon back on X Factor that may may not have an effect as well.

I think both will play it safe until they bed in,

Doctor Who is a strong battering ram but again a new Doc the BBC will want him to bed in,

Lots of risks this Autumn.
