itv should appreciate their big week of the year in terms of ratings as it is back to earth with a bump next week, with secret life of babies/cats, soccer aid countdown and a ryan giggs documentary making up primetime, will any of them rate over 2.5 million?one doubts.

2 great sides, great atmosphere, great nick mullins commentary on bt, all the ingredients to be a classic.

Sky Box Office Movies - 23/11/2013
- Peak: 253k (1.4%) at 22:50 during Round 1
- above 200k from 22:00 to 23:40
- consistently around 220k from 22:55 onwards

It's not a 'Movie', but I think the above is correct.

I just think Louis Walsh as a guinea pig on the panel is getting old now, I think Sinitta would fill his role well as the judge that makes controversial decisions. And Lily v Cheryl would give the show plenty of column inches and reignite the fashion wars as well which happened with Dannii and Cheryl before.

Do you know what Ricky Hatton v Floyd Mayweather got on Sky box office on 8th/9th December 2007?

I'm pretty certain that was reported widely at the time as ~1.2m.

Edit - Here's a link to the source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/oth...ng-record.html

Thanks. How about the last big British involving world title fight on Sky Box Office which was Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye on 2nd July 2011 ?

Sinitta??? At least Louis is a music manager even if quite a few people think he's outstayed his welcome.

Lily and Cheryl may outwardly hate each other which will just result in a horrible atmosphere - that's the last thing the show needs.

yeah, though I think mark durden- smith has spoilt what is usually a good highlights show this year , very awkward watching him try to play the joker constantly.

He was a big part of the pantomime at the shows peak, which was rather lost in the Barlow years. Presumably Cowell is trying to recreate that chemistry.
Nothings for certain though. BGT is still doing well but there does not seem to be a specific Cowell factor driving interest in what appears to be a very poor year for talent. Although I guess X Factor is a different kettle of fish and its ratings this time will be eagerly awaited on here.

there's a double bill of The Americans tomorrow night, itv doing everything they can to get the series over and done with quickly.

Any rating for Fearne and McBusted on ITV last night. Wondered if it rated better than the original showings on ITV2

I can't believe some are suggesting Sinitta. She one of those fame hungry wannabees like Joey Essex, Joe Swash and will turn up at the opening of an envelope if they get a bit of TV exposure. She would turn the show into a laughing stock. I would turn off with her on the panel.

There's no room for it next week as ITV are showing another England friendly from 9:30pm to after Midnight

I stand corrected, but the show is without a doubt one off if not the biggest rating flop itv have ever had,(ever rated worse than edge of heaven) remember the collapse after the bgt final last year?

Thanks. So seems they're expecting four times the audience to buy this time.

I wonder whether the Pro12 on BBC Wales rates better than the Premiership on BT Sport - was rather underwhelmed by the averages they released for the season a week or so ago - 119k per match, peaking at 240k. This is supposedly 40% up on Sky figures, but still feels rather low. Wasn't expecting anything amazing but thought they'd easily be getting 250k.

Also be interesting to see the figures for Wales v Wales tonight.
Spoiler
Wales won.

what do people think about the idea of Good Morning Britain airing on saturday and sunday as well, could well be a disaster but might attract a few more viewers who in turn might start tuning in on weekdays?

They get a few more weeks in the Autumn with I'm A Celebrity.

Several weeks each year where ITV dominates primetime. BBC1 hasn't had several days of dominance on primetime weeknights since The Olympics.

It wouldn't hurt. But not being on at weekends isn't why its ratings are down. 800,000 watched the first edition and around 200,000 gave up on it.

Thats a bit unfair I think. We know ITV structure these 2 programs for these big weeks and we know the strengths and weakness of the 2 main channels across the year. These weeks should not make us forget the overall picture.
