Yep. And for all of those reasons I think EastEnders will be down. Would have loved to have seen it get 8m across a week.
Dont think there was much chance of 8m on a Friday but it will be interesting to see what it can get tonight.

Buy something new ? Spend money ? Suuurely not !

Surprisingly Ironside is holding up in the ratings for 5USA. They got away with this cheap purchase.
Is that why they have moved it to 9pm tonight.

If 8 million was the peak wonder what the average is then? share should hopefully be another good one!

BBC needs to extend the second series of Parking Mad to around 6-8 episodes. 4million+ yet again is strong for a cheap factual show.

Hard hitting BBC3 documentary Free Speech achieved 40,000 viewers, a vital public service broadcast which educated its viewers.

I have quite enjoyed Parking Mad - its the British obsession with parking and authority.
Its no Pound Shop Wars though is it?

Hope tonight doesn't let the week down. Friday's are notoriously low days for EastEnders. It would be great if they could have a full week of episodes going over 8 million in the officials. Last time that happened must have been 2010/2011.

The ratings for EE for the last 3 Fridays -

6.41m (30.8%) + 524k
6.24m (30.2%) + 298k
6.20m (30.2%) + 415k

So its going to have to hold its improved share to get over 7m.

When was the last time EastEnders had overnights of 8m across a week? That's what it should be getting back to performance wise.

The ratings are lower, but the shares tell the story. As long as Paul O' Grady can get around 2m-2.5m inc+1 at 5pm then he should still hold around 20% share.

Hopefully Ejector Seat is good format and doesn't flop when it arrives

7.5m (37.4%) for EastEnders.

Shame it lost so much from Tuesday but the share is still fantastic.

40,000 viewers that's an awful figure. No wonder BBC3 is being axed when only ametican imports and programmes about having sex abroad pull in average numbers

BBC1 should reduce it to 30 minutes and pair this with Pound Shop Wars for 26 weeks of the year to crush itv! Top quality PBS documentaries that its well worth paying the licence fee for...

Utterly dreadful for Emmerdale, both under 6m!

Makes EE 7.5m look great even with the big drop from Tuesday.

Still held on to that 37% share though, which is brilliant. Hopefully it will hold on to that share again tonight.

EastEnders continued to perform well on Thursday evening (April 24) as the Beale family grieved for Lucy, overnight figures show.

The Walford soap pulled in 7.5m (37.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as the police began to question Lucy's loved ones in a special episode set almost entirely inside the Beale house. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 440k (3.1%) at 10.30pm.

The Lucy storyline continued to boost EastEnders as the show had its best Thursday rating since February 6 and its second-highest audience share of the year.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale appealed to 5.85m (32.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 133k (0.6%) on +1 as Cain gave Belle one last ultimatum before her court hearing. 5.74m (26.4%) returned at 8pm and 167k (0.8%) on +1 as Belle pleaded not guilty to Gemma's murder

Hollyoaks interested 972k (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Tegan was arrested for Fraser's murder, while E4's first look followed with 717k (4.0%) at 7pm.

Neighbours secured 637k (10.9%) at 1.45pm and 752k (6.0%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s repeat had 140k (0.9%) at 6pm.

Home and Away mustered 260k (4.2%) at 1.15pm, 507k (3.4%) at 6pm and 321k (1.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

But the share is high - any drop is because fewer people were watching.

If it holds that share tonight it will be neck and neck with Corrie.

The share for EE tells me that had this aired in the Autumn they could have hit peaks of 10 million.

That bodes well for the show as we go forward.

That's a great share for EastEnders. It hasn't been getting those shares for a long time. If this was Winter that would be 8m. I actually think it will rate higher tonight due to bad weather over parts of the country and an 8pm start, so total viewership will be higher.

Looks like ITV are going to have to find two new producers for their two soaps. Both appear to be doing there best at boring the viewer. Its only going to get worse if EE continues to remain strong, it could end up top soap within the next few weeks.

Seemeingy both Blackburn and Katie Oats think viewers will watch anything.
