For goodness sake, ITV, you're flogging a dead horse with Amazing Greys - just do the sensible thing and move Britain's Got Talent to a later slot! Though part of me wants them to keep it how it is for May 10th to see how low the rest of the schedule will fall against Eurovision.

BBC One had a decent night once again, aided by ITV's dire schedule and programming. I think they need to look at airing series two of shows which gave done alright elsewhere after Britain's Got Talent or The X Factor rather than new series as situations like this are frankly embarrassing.

Those 4.61m watching Amazing Greys at the start need to be quicker on their remotes - surely they know its crap by now.

BGT was quite steady from 7.30pm onwards. I know it always takes 10-15 mins to get going (as does XF) but you can clearly see that 7.30pm would work much better. 7.15pm next week is a minor improvement I guess. Amazing Greys is just a total lost cause though. DS reports an average of 3.11m, which I guess will have been c3.5m with +1. Not good enough. Awful for Let Me Entertain You as well. You have to wonder why they bothered. You've Been Framed is looking stale too.

Last week's More Talent got 946,000 excluding +1 and added an additional 315,000 on +1 to take it to 1.261m. With the main show clocking another huge +1 rating I expect something similar happened to More Talent again this week. Seems to be rating well and much better than Xtra Factor.

I agree; maybe they should look at moving Stephen Mulhern to Xtra Factor. The programme worked with Caroline and Olly but the chemistry on screen between Caroline and Matt was painful so something needs to be done about it.

I quite liked Caroline at one stage but being with Matt really exposed her as well as him..maybe time to move on from her as they are rumoured to be doing.

A pity that no new entertainment breakout hit has really been created since "Britians Got Talent" apart say from "The Great British Bake Off" . That's a fairly long period without a new entertainment hit on any channel or network.

In terms of bolstering itv after "Britians Got Talent" itv might have been best to air comedy if they have it to hang on to its audience.

So it looks like The Guess List (aka Blankety Blank) has stabilised. Although the numbers are nothing to write home about, I guess the odds of BBC recommissioning it are improving.


ITV not having as much luck with Amazing Greys, which is still shedding viewers every week. While it's got harder competition than The Guess List, it's wasting a far bigger inheritance. Prognosis: unlikely to be back next year.

With BGT being up 4% year on year, I'm not sure itv are going to be in any hurry to move it. Particularly as airing early in the week of May 10th is probably the only time an early start might help (due to Eurovision). The 7.15pm start next week might help a bit.

That's a good point I hadn't thought of actually. The 7.15pm slot will actually probably be a decent bet on Eurovision night as it'll avoid the bulk of the contest. Last year they went for 7.30-8.45pm and got 9.24m (inc +1) which was a decent result against Eurovision (especially compared to 2011 when they went 8-9pm and got 8.37m). An early slot on Eurovision night is probably the way to go actually. The 7.15pm slot next week makes more sense now too. Should be funny to see how low Amazing Greys goes against Eurovision if nothing else.

May 17th is the FA Cup Final though so BGT will presumably shift to 7.45pm as it did last year (where it got its highest rating of the series bar the final). Then May 24th is the Champions League Final so it'll air on Sunday 25th instead. Off Their Rockers and Vera both end the week before so it'll probably run 7.30-9pm (the final audition show is usually 90 minutes). Then the live shows seem to be running Mon 26th-Thu 29th and Sat 31st this year, with the final on 7th June.

What a day of Premier League football now underway with three massive games back-to-back on Sky (or alternatively down the pub).

Pity from a ratings perspective that Liverpool v Chelsea is not the later kickoff though. But still going to be huge I feel. Come on you Reds!

To be fair though, today I made just one post in which I deleted the details once I realised it included +1. Fact is BGT was slightly down y-o-y excluding +1 [the numbers i and some others consider the true ratings - BARB included].

Without wanting to sound arrogant, most of what I post is the truth. I predicted Law and Order uk this week would fall heavily, people said it wouldn't, but it ended up going down just as i forecasted. I didnt crow about it the next day, but it's what happened. Amazing greys and Let Me Entertain You got diabolical ratings yesterday but I havent made a big song and dance about it, have I? 3.1m after a 10m lead-in is embarrassing.

There was that adoption show on Thursday which only got 2.1million viewers. It's a terrible rating but you know what, I didnt say anything about it. Endeavour, as I forecasted before it returned, has slipped below 5m up against the Crimson Field - but you know what I didnt really talk about its poor ratings this series. The truth of the matter is, there's been so many bad ratings on Itv so far this year, I dont even comment about half of them. People dont seem to realise how badly the broadcaster is rating at the moment and are just accepting ratings of 2-3m as the norm, which is unbelieavable really. To be honest though, I dont care if people make personal digs about me, it's absolutely fine and I dont get offended by it or feel like Im being 'bullied'.

It will be great for Steven Gerrard and football in general if Liverpool win the league and I am pretty sure they will.

Nothing amazing about last week's consolidated number, but not disastrous either. Consistency seems to be the word.

Good rise for last week's BGT in the officials then. 11.04m from 9.31m, so a 1.73m rise. Pretty good going. A slightly higher timeshift because of Easter weekend perhaps?

The Americans may suit BBC2 or BBC4 better then ITV.

It would certainly suit ITV encore as well.

Hoping the goalscorers for Sunderland are a good omen for us!! Enjoy the game mate. The share will be something special.

Good result for BGT-over 9 million without +1 which makes it stick out like a sore thumb against all other schedules-on ITV especially if Amazing Greys is the next highest rating through the day. The huge audience just fades away-seems there needs to be a programme called "Penalty Shoot Out" (that's my pitch to ITV ) to try and prevent viewers disappearing down a huge plug hole.

So so for BBC1 -half decent for Casualty but the rest are the equivalent of a defensive mid-fielder -plugging holes but nothing spectacular. Guess List will probably survive on its figures so far at least.

ITV aren't doing themselves any favours. One huge hit in the evening and then nothing around it to benefit or prop up the night. The Voice never reached the heights of BGT but everything that followed got a boost.

Surrounding BGT with bargain basement light entertainment does not help the overall schedule.
