Perfection has only ever done around that figure though hasnt it. I think its on too early.
Worth mentioning that Perfection is in repeats at the moment. It did get 1.18m (16%) on Monday 7 April (also for a repeat) whereas over the longer term 0.9m was a typical figure for new episodes as I recall. The earlier slot leading out of Doctors seems to have helped it, if anything.

I'm not sure Perfection it has ever rated better than 1m on BBC1. Didn't it rate better on BBC2 at 4.30pm?

I've edited my post after checking the thread: it managed it less than a month ago, for a repeat.

I think the 1.18m rating was more to do with Auf Widersen Pet on ITV which couldn't even manage 500k.

18.20 Pointless Celebrities
19.10 National Lottery: In It To Win It
20.00-23.25 Eurovision Song Contest 2014
First time in a long time we've had a full-length lottery quiz on Eurovision night, they used to do that and Doctor Who fans used to complain because it meant that had to go on early, but in recent years they've just done a ten minute draw at 7.50. Reminds me of during Euro 2004 when they had In It To Win It at 5.30 without the lottery and then did the draw later that evening, same as they did with Big Ticket during the 1998 World Cup (and everyone wondered why the hell they were doing a lottery show without the lottery in it).

As for ITV, narrative repeats at 9pm on any night, even Eurovision night, are an absolute disgrace. A total insult to the audience. I can just about accept it for one week, but it's been about six weeks now. Outrageous.

I don't understand how you can compare the two. Susanna, like Christine, has clearly had a payrise. But apart from that, they're worlds apart. Susanna is a journalist, and if things go REALLY bad at GMB, they'll for sure put her on ITV News - even the lunchtime news has higher ratings than BBC Breakfast has, so she'll still be 'known'.

Not to mention the appearances on shows like Paul O' Grady, which she wasn't doing over at the BBC.
Well, she was on Strictly when she was on the Beeb. And I Love My Country, lest we forget. But yes, it's certainly not all over for her if this doesn't work out, not least because the four presenter line-up seems a very conscious way to emphasise the fact that it's not The Susanna Reid Show.

Not really. They have to show all the PPBs in identical timeslots, otherwise the parties will understandably complain.
I dunno, though, because however identical the timeslots are the surrounding programmes are obviously always different, if you're running them at 10.35 on BBC1 for example you'd get a bigger audience if it was before Graham Norton than if it was on a Wednesday night before Panorama and up against extra time in a football match. And of course next week there are two PPBs on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Beeb showing them at 6.55 and 10.35,.

Used to be the case, of course, that all channels showed them at the same time, which carried on until 1980 when everyone decided that was a ridiculous idea and stopped it - but even then Labour refused to accept the change and as a compromise they were allowed to have half of theirs simulcast.

PPBs are less than five minutes long, anyway, so they could perfectly easily have cut away and resumed straight after, perhaps on a time delay. The problem was the decision to show the Eggheads repeat instead of going back to the snooker.
I think Party Political Broadcast times are set in stone on BBC1 at 7pm. I think BBC2 can be more flexible.

It's the first time in at least a couple of years that Britain's Git Talent isn't clashing with Eurovision. Shame there isn't as much interest with other contestants as there was in the Jedward year. That helped boost figures. I haven't even seen the UK entry in the trailers.

As for ITV repeats BBC1 were repeating Mrs Brown's Boys on Saturday nights after it went out on Mondays.

Feels like a star presenter hidden away in a group. Not that it makes any difference. Too many presenters on GMB.

On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 636k (9.3%) at 1.45pm but dipped to 674k (5.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away gathered 231k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 677k (4.3%) at 6pm and 412k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Seems very odd for Home and Away to be ahead of Neighbours? Neighbours is usually around 300k ahead?

So pleased EE is keeping these shares. Looks like Lucy's death really has worked for them. If they keep this up for the next few months EE should be up on last summer which would probably see EE being up altogether on 2013s average.
Yep, I for one am eating a big slice of humble pie as I wasn't wholly convinced it would work in boosting it's audience. It certainly has though and I'm glad! Let's hope they can keep it up. With the murder story surely only getting bigger and better, and big stuff for the Carters who up until recently were the centre of the only 8m rating of the year I see no reason why not.
If EastEnders can get these shares in the Autumn then the Christmas Day episode might reach 10m again.

Is she the star presenter though? Most seem to agree that she is not even the best out of the 4 desk huggers.

Reid was seen as the marquee signing for Good Morning Britain. Her face was used in articles on newspaper front pages pushing the show, Radio Times had her as the cover story and promotional images have her at the front. Going in she was seen as the star presenter, not sure she is now as there has been more praise fir her other co-presenters Shepherd and Hawkins.

Eastenders ratings for the last 2 weeks-

Mon21 8.18m (34.6%)
Tue 22 8.39m (37.8%)
Thu 24 7.50m (37.4%)
Fri 25 7.19m (32.7%)

Mon28 7.78m (35.2%)
Tue 29 7.36m (37.2%)
Thu 01 7.22m (35.8%)

Good shares but the numbers well down this week even on bigger/equal shares. Dont think it can hold over 7m tonight even if it equals last weeks share.

Liam Hamilton on Twitter reports that a BBC Four documentary about Georgian Britain came third in the 21:00 slot with 1.2m. Fantastic rating.
Third highest ratings ever for BBC 4 according to Broadcast. But didn't the Bridge and The killing post overnights above a 1m

here is their top 10 overnights but I think there is stuff missing
HATTIE 1,500,000.00
GOODBYE TELEVISION CENTRE 1,326,000.00
THE FIRST GEORGIANS 1,208,000.00
TOP OF THE POPS: THE STORY OF 1976 1,106,000.00
BURTON AND TAYLOR 1,101,000.00
QUEEN - DAYS OF OUR LIVES 1,049,000.00
THIS IS YOUR LIFE: HATTIE JACQUES 1,049,000
THE STORY OF MUSICALS 1,017,000
THE STORY OF MUSICALS 1,002,000
THE TOILET: AN UNSPOKEN HISTORY 965,000

I think the same has happened for Coronation Street for some of this week too.

TV schedules seem to be a bit July/August-esque. Is there any reason for this?

Broen II had two overnights past 1.1 million, Broen one past 1 million. The Killing didn't manage it on BBC4 alone

The new afternoon line up is a bit of a car crash. to be frank

Here's ITV from 1pm - 6pm

Loose Women - 700k
News - 700k
Jo Frost - 600k
Dickinson - 700k
Ejector Seat - 1m
POG Show - 1.7m

And here's BBC1

News - 2.6m
Doctors - 1.3m
Perfection - 900k
Escape/Country - 1.1m
Tom Kerridge - 900k
Flog It! - 1.9m
Pointess - 3.6m
Loose Women needs putting out of its misery, the news should lead directly on from This Morning, Dickinson is a repeat so excusable to a point, the rest need to go too. Paul O'Grady would probably work better around 3pm.

The same episode of Daybreak last year had 767k (18.5%) excl+1

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=2731
Breakfast is up year on year btw
Daybreak was doing OK until earlier this year, thats when the wheels seem to have well and truly come off. It's good to see GMB get a bit of an uplift anyway, but no doubt it'll do badly on Monday and some will latch onto it as a catastrophic failure.

Many have already done that - as expected really - it is the nature of the ratings thread.

O'Grady would do better away from Pointless. He doesn't rule the 5pm slot anymore but could rule a new timeslot.

Daybreak was getting around 700k before Lorraine & Aled took over. And then they were getting that a few times before it was axed. Now GMB has 700k. It better rate higher as that would be a lot of money spent to replace Daybreak and then end up with the same ratings as Daybreak.
