What other shows could Easties take inspiration from?

So apparently DTC told Adam W that this current storyline has been inspired by Broadchurch.

So what other television shows could DTC use as inspiration for further Eastenders plots?

Could do well to look at some of the big American network shows for their pacing. Breaking Bad for example, obviously a world away from Walford but it essentially boils down to ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It's a scripting and pacing masterclass in keeping momentum and peoples attention from one episode to the next.

Failing that, Babestation

DTC could use Doctor Who as inspiration so the characters never have to leave and can just regenerate.

He should look at shows like New Tricks and Last Tango in Halifax when writing for it's older characters....older characters who have their own lives.

They already have a dexter so that's handy.

Maybe tosh, dexter, Kim, fat boy, Whitney, Lauren, kat and Alfie all go on a plane that crashes on an island and they all get eaten alive by polar bears.
