My top 10 nightmare run would be, in no particular order:

Not a big fan of Doctorless episodes at all.

the dream list really surprises me- I thought most people didn't like the Angels take Manhattan, and surely The Girl in the Fireplace is better than The Doctor's Wife? Still, personal opinion I suppose

I loved the Doctor's Wife episode! Surranne Jones as Idris was great! I'm quite a fan of hers, as I enjoyed watching Series 1 and 2 of Scott & Bailey recently. I borrowed both series on DVD from my local Library, and pretty much every minute of every episode was excellent.

Also, the BBC's Five Days series 2 from 2009 was good too. Surranne played a WPC who was on a train with her Mother (played by Anne Reid), when the train nearly hit an asian person who had fallen from a bridge. It also featured David Morrissey from The Next Doctor.


11. Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone. Added this as I forgot to earlier. Loved that two-parter. Now it is my top 11 Dream Run.

Am quite a fan of River Song, so whenever an episode with River Song, is repeated on either 'Watch' or BBC Three, I try to make sure I can watch them.

MOFFAT SPECIAL: Probably The Time of the Doctor? But that's just because they're all so brilliant.

"Nightmare" feels like a strong word - there's a lot of episode I enjoy, there, they're just the least good of their bracket. Age of Steel is a good example.

Cos I'm a nerd, though, I also did it in a more structural way, so I'm comparing stories rather than episodes. Ten stories, starting with an opener (Rose, New Earth, Smith & Jones, Partners in Crime, The Eleventh Hour, Impossible Astronaut & Day of the Moon, Let's Kill Hitler, Asylum of the Daleks or The Bells of Saint John), onto the first trip, second trip, early two-parter, third trip, fourth trip, late two-parter, fifth trip, sixth trip, finale. If a series didn't have two-parters, I disregarded them, and I counted split series separately, so there'd be enough spots for finales and openers. That gave the following dream run:

4. The Time of Angels / Flesh and Stone

A novel way of rating stories against each other isn't it, you end up with only one part of two part stories in your run when you find a story you love.
My nightmare run would be similar to the one voted for in the poll with two or three exceptions, but nothing in the nightmare list really surprises me that's it's there.

Dream Run
501. The Eleventh Hour - A really good start to Matt SMith's tenure to the Doctor
402. The Fires of Pompeii - the 2nd episdoes have largely been not that inspiring
103. The Unquiet Dead - Really liked this one.
704 The Power of Three - Apart from the last 10 minutes, a very good episode
505. Flesh and Stone - Best of a bad lot
706 The Bells of Saint John - almost unfair in a way as it was a series opener really.
107. The Long Game - The episode that really got me hooked on new who
308. Human Nature - A Classic, but tough competition from Father's Day and Silence in the Library
309. The Family of Blood - A Classic, but tough competition from the Empty Child and Forest of the Dead
510. Vincent and the Doctor - a great episode, but what competition from the Doctor Dances, Blink and Midnight
411. Turn Left - Good competition here from Utopia
512. The Pandorica Opens - So many great double parters to choose from
213. Doomsday - So many great double parters to choose from

401. Partners in Crime - Not awful, but all the others were decent
502. The Beast Below - A clear choice
503. Victory of the Daleks - A clear choice
304. Daleks in Manhattan - worst of the worst
105. World War 3 - Much worse than Aliens of London which was pretty decent
306. The Lazarus Experiment - A clear choice
607. A Good Man Goes To War - Didn't like that part of the ark, could also have been a idiot's Lantern.
208. The Impossible Planet - Very harsh as all of these IMO were good episodes
609. Night Terrors - Not bad, but all the other episodes were good at worst
210. Love & Monsters - Every other episode 10, was good or very good
111.Boom Toom - Not bad but episode 11 generally good or very good
612. Closing Time - Not bad but suffers from not being first of a 2 parter
613. The Wedding of River Song - as with A Good Man Goes To War, didn't like the ark
