I actually liked her last album era, A Million Lights and I think Call My Name is the best single from her. Such a shame that she underused that era. There were so many tracks that deserved to be released as a single more than Under The Sun, which is easily the weakest song from the album.
Because she's so useless at following through with an album campaign properly the best thing she can do really would be to release 3 singles prior to the obvious album release when the X factor lives are on
Interested to hear this. I just saw the tweet from James Ingham (Daily Star) that she is performing on the BGT final.
Although I'm not the biggest Cheryl fan to say the least, I do like some of her music, especially Call My Name and Fight For This Love so I'm interested to hear this.

No it was not a perfect choice,
Mediocre song , one of the weakest on the album, and it did NOTHING for the album sales, therefore it was a crap , and frankly bizarre choice.
I'm not a big Cheryl fan (as soloist, but I didn't mind her in Girls Aloud) but I enjoyed her last album. It's not a bad pop album. I must buy it sometime Looking forward to hearing the new single!
I'm really looking forward to this, I think her debut album is one of the best pop albums this century, Wasn't too big on her last two albums, apart from a few tracks on each, Call my name is definately one of her best tracks overall, Screw You I feel should have been a proper single also.
I am looking forward to this, she does seem to always deliver with her first single at least.
Someone on popjustice, who seems reliable, as they were first to mention Girls Aloud's new single 'Something New' said they have heard it and revealed a little about it a couple of weeks ago,
Quote: “I don't know the producer, but Will doesn't feature, so I'm assuming he didn't produce it. It's got brass/big band elements along with the typical Cheryl dance-y vibe. It's a great song and doesn't disappoint.”
I like the sound of it having brass/big band elements.

According to The Mirror, the Britains Got Talent final is in May this year and the performance will also be the first time the track will be heard, which is interesting, its basically going to be an on air on sale release.

I'm very excited for new Cheryl Music. I wonder what we can expect with chapter four?
For me each album of Cheryl's has got better and i know a lot of fans don't like Messy Little Raindrops much but i love it. That era was over too soon like A Million Lights.
I think Cheryl should plan to release the album in the fall of the back of The X Factor and release at least two singles before the album. A promo single near the time would be great too.
Her last album was definitely the best, questionable album track names aside (Sexy Den A Mutha, anyone?). Songs that actually showed off her voice which is okay; she's just not a soprano like most pop singers; so a lot of pop songs written for any singer don't suit her voice. A lot of the Girls Aloud songs if she were to sing them alone and not just her parts she couldnt reach the notes; but that doesnt mean she's a bad singer. A choir is made up of a lot of people.
And I love badass-ghetto-Cheryl, she can do squeaky clean and classy too but badass-sexy Cheryl suits her.

It needs to be a really strong track for this to work I think.”
I highly doubt they'd do that. With artists like Cheryl they pretty much always premiere the song at least 6 weeks before release date, sometimes even two months.
I can't remember the last Simon-Cowell-based act to do OA/OS.
